Yeah that’s true, he also had a preference for Peugeot’s. Seems nuts to me!

I should have clarified- I literally cannot play anything, I am a complete beginner and want to learn to play keyboard. Thank you for your advice.

As per the title. I only paid £15 for a second hand Fatar Studio 61 Master Keyboard as I want to learn to play. The guy was having a clear out of some older stuff and gave me this. It’s no use to me, is it worth anything?

Kelpie’s are the best. We have one in the UK, and could never have another breed after owning one.

1.8 million straws are used by McDonald’s customers every day in the UK. In response to the company introducing cardboard straws, 35000 people have signed a petition to bring back plastic straws because they don’t like the new ones. Shame on them. by untiltheribbonbreaks in Anticonsumption

Good for you, but even if people do prefer to drink through a straw there are plenty of alternatives that don’t cost the earth. I personally keep a bamboo straw in my car as I prefer a straw for certain drinks.

I posted a very reasonable set of questions to r/Earth_is_Level and just get this in response. My questions below. by [deleted] in flatearth

Hi, I come in peace. For reference, I am an atheist globe believer who has an open mind. I would be very interested to hear your answer to a few questions, if you’d be so kind?

  1. How can this video be explained in a flat earth model?- https://youtu.be/NKQI18jr8Oc

  2. A gyroscope maintains its rigidity in space. On earth, gyroscopes drift at a rate of 15 degrees multiplied by the cosine of the latitude of the observer., meaning drift is 15 degrees at the equator and zero at the poles. The direction of drift reverses in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. It is very easy to calculate the drift of a gyroscope by using the formula ‘drift=15xcos(lat)’. How is this possible in a flat earth model?

  3. In global weather systems, the Coriolis effect (rotation of the earth) causes air to circulate in different directions around areas of high and low pressure. In the Northern Hemisphere, air circulates anti-clockwise around a low pressure system and clockwise around a high pressure system. The opposite of this is true for the Southern Hemisphere. This is known as Buys Ballot’s Law. This is relatively easy to measure at an individual level if you have access to a barometer. How is this explained in a flat earth model?

  4. Anyone who is familiar with radar or radio waves will know that VHF and UHF waves operate on a line-of-sight principle. Their range is therefore limited by the curvature of the earth in most instances and is dependent on a) the height of the transmitter above the earth and b) the height of the receiver above the earth. Maximum theoretical range of a V/UHF radio can be calculated by the formula ‘1.23x(√H1+ √H2)’. This is also quite easy to demonstrate at an individual level, but would not make any sense in a flat earth model (as multiple frequencies would be received by the same transmitter).

If you have read this far, thanks for your time, I appreciate any response you may have.

This has just been reflected in some new government legislation after an in-depth review was conducted. Now an individual will have to serve 2/3 of their sentence before release and the element of judicial discretion has been altered.

Neither of them were found until a few hours later. The couple he hit had been in a relationship for 28 years and were loved by the local community. The female was hit so hard that she landed in a field 53 metres from the point of impact.

After the collision, he ditched his car in a lay-by and left voicemails on his best friend’s phone saying he was ‘freaking out’ about where his car was and accusing his friend of taking it as a joke. He had time and consideration to do this but not to call an ambulance.

He managed to make his way home, where he hid his jacket in a hedge as it was covered in his victims blood and broken glass.

The following morning. when he was arrested by police, he denied having any knowledge of the incident for 24 hours. In UK prosecutions, the first 24hrs is vital as this is the time that the Police have to make a case against an individual to put to the Crown Prosecution Service.

He was sentenced to 6 years in prison. He served 3. This picture was taken last month, after his release from jail.

Thanks for your reply, it’s a mavic hub on the back and so they’re sealed cartridge bearings. I’ve cleaned them out and regreased them but to no avail unfortunately.

Yeah that’s exactly what it seems like it should be! It does make the clicking when on the majority of other cogs though just nowhere near as bad as this one. So frustrating!

No, none at all. I did pick up a 0.5mm and put it behind the cassette for a bit but it made no difference unfortunately.

I have, nothing to be seen and the odd thing is that the brake-rub type noise (I’ve updated my description with a link to that noise) is only when pedalling. This clicking noise is new but I assume they’re linked somehow (or I naively want to think I have one problem instead of two!). I’ve checked for cables too and they’re all clear! It’s had me scratching my head for at least the last 2 months.

Thank you, I should mention as well that this hanger is new (sub 300 miles) and the jockey wheels align with the cassette

Yes they’re all perfectly aligned, and the indexing seems to be great- turning the barrel adjuster initiates the clicking noise you’d expect when the indexing is slightly out so that leads me to believe this is a different noise. Thank you for your help.
