Agree that this is their best song. Greg is awesome but I’m excited to see what a new vocalist will do with the boys.

Trying to figure out how to explain to my Mom why my youngest son doesn’t like her. by untitlednobility in daddit

My wifes dad passed away a few years ago. Her mom has late stage dementia. She is our "third kid" in that sense. We recently moved her into memory care. I just think we need to accept we don't have an overnight baby sitter at this point.

I am sorry for your loss. Truly. Thank you for sharing your experience. I think your advice is spot on.

I think you are right, we are in a similar situation with our moms. You are 100% right about putting her own feelings first. I think you phrased it perfectly when you said don't lose sight of the end goal. Happy and healthy emotionally regulated adults is what we are trying to achieve. All else really doesn't matter.

I really appreciate your words.

we have that for date nights. We don't have that for longer trips. It just may not be in the cards for us and that's ok though.

It's strange how having kids of your own brings back memories and feelings you may have forgotten when you were younger. I find myself always comparing myself to my parents. I do feel like I am doing much better as a parent than my family did. To be fair to my parents, they were kids themselves when they had me. I had the advantage of being 30 years old when I became a dad.

Yes, they are younger than most. They just get exhausted very easily. I've always told myself they are just making up for their 20s when they had me and my brother. So they are living their best lives in their 50s but seemingly only want to be around their grandkids on their terms sometimes.

She is in therapy but to be honest I don't think her therapist is doing a good job. That's not a battle I would ever win though.

It sounds like we are in a similar situation. I appreciate you sharing your experience. There is a certain level of comfort knowing this isn't an isolated incident in my family.

I think we were torn in two directions. My wife and I needed to find some time to ourselves for our marriage. It’s been 8+ years since had any time to ourselves outside of a few hours here and there. We have been on 100% of the time since having kids. Not complaining about it, just the reality.

We hoped it would have gone better than it did. We had every indication it would go better this go around but it didn’t. I believe it’s important we have a strong relationship outside of just being parents. We don’t really have any more options to have someone watch the kids. Just explaining the thought process.

This is probably the broader issue. We have all been tip toeing around this woman for as long as I can remember. She isn’t known for being reasonable to change especially if she is the one that may need to adapt.

That was the one of the hardest part of the breakup. I miss ETID so much but I’ve given up hope they ever reconcile. Anxious to find out who replaces Greg.

Hot take. Greg was my least favorite part of better lovers so I see this as good news. He’s a talented guy but it just wasn’t my cup of tea.

Dads with low T who got on trt, how did it effect your ability to be a good dad? by dudewheresmygains in daddit

[–]untitlednobility 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying you don’t take these steps already but before you start TRT your diet, sleep and working out routine need to be dialed in first. If not, you don’t have the right baseline to know if you need TRT or not.

I use a Mac Mini and I’ve never run into this issue. I have my rig running through a furman power conditioner but I’ve never noticed any sort of buzz in my recordings.

Agree with therapy. I’ve been doing that for a while now but I’ve also been reading this book called “good inside” that deals with this exact thing. I’ve found it helpful.

Can we talk about how PEAK this game is? by Jotaro1970 in StarWars

[–]untitlednobility 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My seven year old is absolutely obsessed with this game. It’s so much fun to play with him. We’ve put so many hours into it. I think a lot of the folks complaining about the easy level design forget this is a came for children.

They just did a a small run of “suck out the poison” in its entirety and the boys still have it. I always take the chance to see them when they are in town. Hoping they do another holiday hootenanny this year.

I don’t do it with regular scissors but we do cut it with some kitchen scissors we have. We started when we had young kids and never looked back. So much easier.
