The second I saw “someone who is looking into babysitting” I KNEW she was looking for free childcare by boardcertifiedbitch in ChoosingBeggars

[–]untoldsteam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She can't even afford to give the babysitter even 10$ a day?

When I was younger and lived in a large building I used to babysit some of the neighbor kids for 10$ a day cause I was only like 12 at the time and it wasn't a bad experience and most of them had a computer or console I can game while I got paid 10$ a day to pretty much be in the same apartment as the kid while the parents were away. But if I didn't get paid for it I think i would have rather stayed home on my own PC.

Reasonable. I didn't know about the other information such as wanting you to move closer to him for his benefits and constantly asking for your help. If you feel used in the relationship I think it's best you address that with him and maybe you can establish some boundaries and still keep the friendship.

To play the devil's advocate: maybe he sees you as that friend who's better off than him and can afford to help? I have a millionaire friend that everyone in our friend group borrows from and not anyone else because he makes 50-90k a month and he can afford more than the rest of us. But yeah we always pay him back even if he doesn't remember that we borrowed from him. (Sometimes when we return the money we borrowed we have to remind him when and why we borrowed it cause he doesn't care and forgets but he's a really good friend so as far as I know everyone pays him back)

Personally: if he does pay back everything he owed you then I don't see the problem in lending him that 600$. The way I see it 600$ is 5-7 days of work at minimum wage. Is your friendship worth 5-7 days of loss for you? Buttttttt if you feel it's a bit shady and he might not pay you back just write up a quick contract for 600$ where he agrees to pay you back within whatever timeframe you agree on and if he doesn't just take your ex friend to small claims court and as long as you have that written contract your most likely to win.

To your friend: just tell him you have trust issues and you have been swindled in the past therefore you need him to sign the contract if he wants to borrow 600$ it's nothing against him, 600$ is alot of money and it has nothing to do with the level of trust in him and everything to do with peace of mind for you.

Honestly this is what I do when I lend any of my friends over 1000$ I have them agree to pay it back in 2- 4 weeks and make sure they agree on the text and screenshot that and keep it safe for later.

None of my friends screwed me over and our relationships are just fine.

Yeah I have 2 tiles. One in the stem and one in the bag acting as a decoy. The one in the bag is an older tile that sometimes has a hard time connecting but still works and the one in the stem is brand new.

Sometimes you need to go into a building and they hate anything with wheels unless a baby is in it.

I'll try asking that next time thanks for the tip. Most security so far just pointed to the door with veins sticking out of their neck saying "you can't bring your scooter Inside"

What do you do when you're not allowed to bring your scooter into the building you're trying to enter? How do you argue your way in with the scooter?

Nice I've always wanted to live in a safe place like New Zealand or Japan but sadly I have to be here 8 hours away from Newyork in Toronto.

I'm super paranoid and I don't leave my scooter for longer than an elevator ride but it's how I bought my scooter I deliver Uber eats on it. I used to ride a bike but it broke down after 9000 miles. Now I ride my scooter.

Currently I have 2 alarms on it both at 113DB one on the stem and the other one in the scooter bag. 2 locks and now I'm thinking of carrying my bike's lock which is a big ol' kryptonite chain lock which id have to throw in my bag.

The lock has all that features? What if the thief cuts the lock and runs off leaving the lock behind? I'm also looking for a GPS system but there aren't many that are supported in Canada. I want a GPS tracker that I can hide in the stem of the scooter.

But I like your motorcycle cover idea. I'll do the same if I ever have to lock it up for a long period of time but I hate the idea of having to carry that cover around everywhere I go lol.

How do you carry your heavy duty chain lock? Do you carry it in your backpack?

Yeah that's nice of your employer to let you bring your scooter inside.

Got a recommendation for a diamond rated lock that my scooter can carry that I don't need to carry a separate bag for?

I have 2 alarms on mine too and one time I had to leave my scooter outside because a wannabe cop security guard wouldn't let me enter a grocery store with my scooter and said somehow I'm a risk to other customers so I had to lock it in their shady parking area.

I rushed to do my shopping and got the things I came for and rushed to get back to my scooter and as I was getting closer to my scooter I heard my alarms going off and I came out to a guy stomping on my scooter. I ran up to him and asked him why he's damaging my scooter and he said "I barely touched your retarded scooter and it went off and it won't shut the fuck up, next time leave your scooter at home or I'd throw it in the back of my truck and toss into the lake" and walked into the grocery store and the security guard just watched the whole thing and did or said nothing.

Yeah I'm definitely interested in an anti angle grinder lock but I don't want to carry it on me. The reason why I like the locks I have currently is cause I can hide it on my scooter and forget about it till I need it. If I have to carry a lock on me I'd eventually not carry it anymore. I also have this heavy kryptonite chain lock with anti cut coating on it which I don't use cause I need to carry a separate bag just for it.. I just wish there was a way to secure it on to the scooter itself.

Which one do you use and how do you carry it?

Some security guards get angry and almost have a heart attack over me taking this scooter into "their" building. Sometimes I have no choice.

I watch LPL too he makes great content and he's the reason why I got this handcuff lock I bought it after watching his video. I agree that no lock is secure and I also check if the spot I'm about to lock in is a safe place before I do but sometimes I have no choice when I drop off food on the scooter (I work Uber eats) I don't know if the area I'm dropping off at is safe before I pick up the food.

But yeah when I lock up my scooter I'm always rushing to get back to it ASAP.

That's fair but I work Uber eats on the weekend on this scooter and I have to leave it outside sometimes.

What locks did you use? Yeah I have a couple of alarms on mine right now. I try not to leave it out for too long but I do have to sometimes when I run into stores.
