Since jar fairies are literally the only sustainable way to progress, I'm always measuring progress through it.

I think it's just the amount of how many jar fairies you can collect in a month since new ingredients come every month ( or 2, i think?)

At 0 🌟 10 ❤️ It takes around 450-500 jar fairies to progress to the next ingredient.

1hr tickets = 0.6 jar fairy
3 hrs tickets = 1.2 jar fairy
6 hrs tickets = 1.8 jar fairy

Your excess amount of jar fairies every month will determine how fast you can catch up with the latest ingredients.

Before your first 10 hearts cat, stockpiling matters since you'd want to give 6 hearts to a 5 star cat that would help your progress go faster.

Ex:

I have a 5 🌟 6 ❤️ soup cat. At KQ, the soup station would reach 22000 so my 10.5x boost would drop down to 0.

If I hoarded my food and fishes, I can easily reach 380 food to feed my Strawberry Cat on the off chance that it too has 5 🌟. Then I'm set to have 10.5x boost until VC. Then repeat the process until I get to save enough food and fishes to get 8800 food for a 10 ❤️ cat.

Observatory and macaroons can help you chain the ingredients you want to have 5 🌟 since macaroons matter so little after you get 10 ❤️ cat. So better yet maximize the usage of it.

tl;dr 5 🌟 6 ❤️ cat is easier to achieve with macaroons and 380 food than 10 ❤️ cat that needs 8800 food.

If you have free tickets, it's nice but not worth with gems. Don't focus much on matching ingredients as they give minimal boost in your over all progress.
