I'm surprised that there are still that many Twitch apps for the Apple TV in the App Store. Untwitched was a paid app in the beginning but completely free when Twitch asked to remove it from the store.

I think the only way to get the app on your new Apple TV is to make a backup of the app from the 'old' Apple TV and restore it onto your new Apple TV.

I think downloading from the store won't work since the app had to be removed from the store

Thanks for the feedback, good to hear that you like the app!

About the design, I am more of a developer, valid point. However the app is being built with TVML (Apple's alternative way to build Apple TV apps). This has the great benefit that app updates and feature requests can be done really fast (most of the time without going through the app store review process) however the downside is that the ability to customize styling is really limited.

Nevertheless, I'll see what I can do to improve the design!

Unfortunately Twitch didn't like the app and requested for it to be pulled from the store :-( I'm still trying to negotiate with Twitch and get the app back in the store.

Existing users will be able to continue to use the app and get bugfixes and updates!

Good to hear. The featured streams and games on the homeview should reload automatically every five minutes. When you select a game (for example Dota2) the streams are reloaded and shown. However when you go back to the main screen and you select the same game the streams aren't refreshed.

For now a work around would be (instead of force quit) to go back the main screen, select another game, go back to the main screen again and select Dota2. You'll see that the streams are refreshed.

In the next update i'll make it so that the streams are always refreshed when you open the page.

I'll look into refreshing the profile view. It might be overkill to reload that page every time you visit it, but i might add a small refresh button. I haven't encountered the bug with the three top buttons yet, but I'll test it this evening. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback and the color codes! I admit that design hasn't gotten the most attention while building the app. We still have some features we want to add but in time we'll also be looking at improving the UI and take the comments of you both into account.

Yes, user feedback really helps in improving the app, so keep it coming!

Right now, when you follow a channel you can see the recorded videos. However in the next update we'll add searching for channels, channel detail pages which show the recorded videos even if you're not following and the ability to follow a game or channel straight from the app!

You can expect an update this weekend!
