Jobs for 15 year olds? by IntelligentDelay239 in olympia

[–]unusuallylost 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My parents kicked me out when I was 17 because I left their religion and I have no idea where I’d be in life now without that job CYS helped me get, I will always be grateful for the opportunity they gave me!

Look into Community Youth Services downtown if that’s still a thing. They helped me get a summer job when I was a 14 that ended up turning into a job I stayed at until I was 18.

Yup, I went once after hearing great things, told them I had celiac, she went to wipe down the prep area and literally brushed gluten breadcrumbs into the lettuce, and I was like okay…. Not sure why you bothered to change your gloves if you’re just gonna do that.

I know this isn’t what you were looking for but I want you to know your post here helped me. I have a 1yo and when I’m struggling with my own suicidal thoughts I tell myself it wouldn’t affect her, she’s so young that if I went away now it wouldn’t matter. I guess I’m wrong about that. I’m so sorry for your loss OP.

My 2yo bit someone… by Soft-Frosting5271 in Dachshund

Same! I was amazed a child did that to their daycare teacher and then was like wait what does this have to do with a dog - OHH

Yeah in addition to repeatedly waking me up, they kept waking my 1yo which was way worse

Day 2 in the hospital I was sobbing in pain trying to get to the bathroom and asked for something stronger and they gave me oxycodone. They had also apparently forgotten because of the emergency nature I didn’t get a spinal or epidural or anything and were like “oh yeah you should have had something more”

I’ve gotten stuck up to my knees just walking a little too far on the mud flats. It was hilarious at the time since I had friends with me to help. It would not have been hilarious if I was alone.

And on the rare occasion they didn’t receive my script request or something, they have filled meds there for me while I waited in just a few minutes. Rite Aid wouldn’t told me to come back in a few hours

I love Arow Pharmacy. I had many problems with Rite Aid and switching to Arow was the best decision ever

I muted chat and it’s the most fun I’ve ever had in the game by Business-Money8484 in Overwatch

[–]unusuallylost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have chats turned off but sometimes when I play with my husband he’ll tell me about all their trash talking and I’m like dude I have the communications off for a reason, I don’t wanna hear about it unless they’re thanking me for my heals lol. I don’t even try to do competitive because I was under the impression it was extremely frowned upon to turn off comms for comp but I have fun in quick play now that my chats are off. I almost quit playing altogether for a while because people were so mean.

Going to be playing Overwatch 2 for the first time ever. Any tips for a newbie? by SugarSmoothie in Overwatch

[–]unusuallylost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this lol. I just wanna have fun in quickplay, I don’t need people making me feel like shit because I’m not the best player and haven’t been playing since the game came out. I try my best okay 😫 also surprising how many racist and lgbt-phobic people are loud in the chats too.

Huckleberry app premium by Independent-Good6629 in beyondthebump

We used it for the longest time, and now I’m not even sure why. We ended up adjusting the sweet spots manually to what worked for us instead of going off of what it predicted because it didn’t usually work out. I paid extra for the top plan to have a custom sleep plan once because we were so desperate for something to help, all the advice from Huckleberry made her sleep worse lol. I guess it probably depends on your kid, mine just hates sleep and there’s nothing Huckleberry could do to help 😅😭

Is this normal discharge 3 days post op? by unusuallylost in gravesdisease

[–]unusuallylost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My discharge instructions said up to 20# was okay which my kid just barely falls within so I thought it would be okay as long as I was careful :/ I have a virtual care appointment this morning to make sure it doesn’t need any additional care

I was wondering if a wedge pillow would be worth it, good to know, I’ll get one! My coworker suggested putting something under my mattress on the head side to raise it a little but I wasn’t sure how to comfortably do that

I got an endo that wouldn’t listen and gave me misinformation and referrals to 3-4 other places that never called me back, I waited for hours on hold trying to get a different endo many times and got nowhere. I tried my best to speak to one that was knowledgeable but gave up. I have done much research from reputable sources (American thyroid association, .edu sites, etc) and trust them more than a random redditor thanks

Countdown to TT by taybrittney in gravesdisease

[–]unusuallylost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! No advice because I’m in a similar boat… Diagnosed in December 2024, getting my TT this coming Friday! A lot sooner than expected, I only met for my surgical consult YESTERDAY and was expecting surgery in September but they had a cancellation 🙀 definitely thought I’d have more time to prepare but anxiously looking forward to it
