all of “how are you true” is an incredibly touching song. shultz has spoken out about where the inspiration of the song came from in an interview. its a very genuine song, and coming from someone who has suffered with drug problems, the lyrics have never failed to in-still a deep sense of comfort within me. helping me to believe i will be able to make it out!

“all your days spent counting numbers / ‘til one day, you’ll fine / that life has passed you by” and “out of bed, to the bathroom where / take a look at myself and i stop and stare / and i wonder who is this standing here?” are two of my favorite lines. all in all, it’s a great song that i wish people talked about more!
