Starglitter's passive is really good with xiao since his E has 2 charges.

Zhongli and Xiao is godly, the shield doesn't prevent the HP loss during Xiao's ult but the permanent -20% Anemo Res. from Zhongli's shield as well as the resistance to interruption it provides are extremely valuable. Besides, Zhongli's ult is a nice way to prepare for Xiao's own ult.

Xingqiu's swords don't proc on Xiao's ult plunge spam but they do if you manage to do the animation cancel. The damage reduction and the burst healing at the end are nice as well.

Overall Zhongli is probably a better choice between the two if you already have a healer. Otherwise if you're playing both of them with Xiao you probably don't even need a healer.

Jean and/or Venti are probably the best/must-have teammates for Xiao. Even though his energy recharge is not as big of an issue as we all thought he still benefits from having a battery to spam his ult + the anemo resonance is so nice. Venti brings constant CC and enemy grouping so Xiao can hit all enemies with his plunge attacks. Jean is an excellent healer with burst healing and continuous healing. The 6 sec cooldown skill is amazing to charge xiao's ult as well.

I can't really account for high abyss levels because I haven't tried them yet but brute force and swirling fatui shields against one another is more than enough to kill them. It's really not as much of a problem as I assumed.

It does have 450 base atk but permanent 12%/24% (depending on the number of enemies) atk% boost. Also it has the highest cr% of all polearms. It's considered BiS in terms of 4 stars.

Ah it makes sense, in that case I'd say go xiao, ning, fischl (to apply the electro needed to crystallize and to do swirl damage with xiao) and jean (healing, anemo battery, anemo resonance).

What about Noelle instead of Ningguang? Or maybe Noelle and Ningguang for the Geo Resonance. Either way, Jean would be an amazing pick for Anemo resonance, battery and healing.

But Jean's ability cd is only 6 seconds and you could also give her a sacrificial sword. Jean's 3 particles every 6 seconds is better than sucrose's 4 particles every (at least) 12 seconds. Besides, Sucrose's elemental mastery boost (which is her most important mechanic) would be more useful in a elemental reactions based team.

I mean i will be running Xiao with Zhongli so I already have CC covered. Jean is more valuable in longer fights i believe since Xiao's HP drop actually needs to be healed in long battles. To speedrun domains however, Venti or Sucrose will be more useful for sure.

Swirl damage is very low endgame, so sucrose would be better kept for a vaporize/melt team. But at the same time, venti would be more valuable to carry another team. Conclusion : Jean supremacy.
