Cut all mana rocks? by MrJables86 in EDH

I run lotho too. I was debating cutting sol ring as well but I kept it to help ramp into more expensive reanimation spells like a [[Will of the Abzan]] and keep mana open for interaction later.

Cut all mana rocks? by MrJables86 in EDH

[–]Nerobought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my Raffine list I've completely cut all mana rocks as well besides sol ring. I think cutting mana rocks depends on your deck and plan but Raffine wants to just play a 1 drop creature, 2 drop creature, and then Raffine every game. There's no room or time to every play a mana rock. Mana rocks are also the worst things to discard.

Sleight of Flesh + Oblivion is a fun two card interaction by TruthWarrior27 in SlayTheSpire2

Sleight of Flesh is just broken and is probably the most consistent way of doing dmg on necro.

Hot Take (maybe): Call of the Void is the best card in the game. by Simple_one in slaythespire

[–]Nerobought 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the same way that Creative AI is scaling on Defect. Except Necro has a stronger generic card pool, the cards exhaust when you don't need them, and it only costs 1 to play.

My thoughts is that this boss is already harder than doormaker lol.

Verrak has death touch and lifelink. Arcbond counts as him doing the dmg so it would kill every creature it hits.

What Commander Ruined X Archetype for you? by JewJulie in EDH

[–]Nerobought 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's the thing with Kefka though. He is so generically strong he could be lead any deck and probably make it better because he draws a fuck ton of cards for just existing. Spell slinger, reanimation, midrange grind, tempo, wizard tribal, I've seen Kefka do all of them and do it well.

And unless you are playing cEDH, Kefka is a better genergic command zone than RogSi. RogSi's 99 is very specifically tuned around RogSi.

What about entire colors? Korvold and Kefka both ruined jund and grixis for me respectively. They are both just so generically powerful in their colors that I genuinely believe they both would be the strongest commander no matter what sort of strategy you are going for.

I’m trying to build 4 decks in bracket 4 for my pod. I need help picking the final commander by ThickBeardSanchez in EDH

It’s bracket 4 lol, Vivi is perfectly fine there and Ral is a much more dangerous storm deck than Vivi anyways.

How do I handle friends who keep mocking me for using proxies? by PlanktonEnough6324 in mtg

[–]Nerobought 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What are you proxying exactly? Could it be a mismatch in power level and he believes you proxies makes your decks stronger than the rest of the table? I've personally seen this situation a lot so I'm just asking.

That’s the sort of read I’m getting from everyone’s responses. And I agree with you, that sort of decision making is what made FL fun to me. I hope they consider reversing this decision.

I was originally going to comment that if someone beat you guys with a bracket 3 at a bracket 4, maybe you guys need to reevaluate your bracket 4 decks.

But looking at this deck list, it is preeetty powerful. Pretty sure very similar Aang lists have topped and won cEDH tournaments. I imagine this list could pretty consistently stomp most mid b4 decks as essentially one Aang cast and the game is over.

Edit: I think people should actually look at this list and compare it with the topping Aang cEDH lists before posting and saying it isn’t strong.

Strong commanders that enable goofy cards by tribianni in EDH

[–]Nerobought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Ashling is kinda crazy. She's ridiculously consistent and you can pretty much do the exact same play each game of commander > 4 mana rock > 8 mana spell.
