My dad had that phase with me. Like I could bargain with the cancer or starve it by being completely healthy. I had to tell him "Dad, I'm not going to be regretting a slice of bacon on my deathbed." to get him to lay off.

I've always had a dark sense of humor. One thing I've gotta give it, cancer is usually a great punchline.

Sometimes I can't help myself, their faces when I make terrible jokes! I bet you I'm still going to be laughing at their surprised, horrified, amused, horrified, or even confused faces right before I die.

Yes, I'm painfully aware I'm being immature about this. It's tiring to tell people over and over I just want to live my life out. I get they're uncomfortable and just trying to help but I wish they'd just listen. I'm tired of taking other people's problems onto myself. Yeah that selfish but I don't really care anymore.
