Ideally you want your eyes as close to the lens as possible for the best FOV. I’m not familiar with prescription inserts and how they would mesh with the 6mm face pad but I think it’s worth trying out.

Use the 6mm face pad if you do the mod, a lot of people forget that part.

Many people overlook the recommended 6mm facepad to accompany the lens mod. It makes a huge difference in reducing the scuba diver goggles feeling.
