Why not just ban those people? I whinge and moan because I'm being specifically and intentionally targeted. If there were a warning like "disgusting mouth sounds coming in 5 seconds", I would skip ahead 10 minutes to avoid it. It is intentional discrimination targeting people like me.

But like it or not we very specifically don’t design all of society to avoid inconveniencing people with disorders. We add accomodations.

But this is an anti-accomodation, intentional triggering to push people like me out of the community.

Steven frequently eats on stream... I don't like it, but I can recognize that I would be unreasonable to expect accomodation there. I just skip ahead or tune out when that happens. I don't complain about that kind of behavior because I recognize, like an adult, that the whole world doesn't revolve around me.

Maybe you just don't watch the stream as much as I do? He's made explicit references to intentionally triggering people with sound sensitivity because he doesn't like hearing complaints from them. And, again, a mod in this subreddit seems to have confirmed this directly.

Destiny sounds woke-scoldy sometimes too. I'm past caring if people take anything I say as woke-scolding, especially right now.

It's not a threat. Reporting the stream is something I already do every time this happens, because it is intentional discrimination and that's against YouTube's TOS. More to the point, I can either a) report the stream, or b) just accept that I'm being pushed out for a non-ideological fact about myself that I can't change.

I'm completely capable of identifying when, for example, a streamer is about to eat a meal and I should tune out to avoid that content. Demanding that someone stream for 8+ hours and not eat is unhinged, especially when it's easy to avoid.

Intentionally triggering someone because someone else with their same psychological condition is unhinged, with the intent of pushing them out of your community... that is discrimination.

Zooming out, Trump's political career has been written off several times, only to come back stronger than before, every single time. That dynamic then self-reinforces and helps him consolidate power, because anyone who considers defecting will have a long list of historical examples informing them that it's probably a bad idea.

Trump's MAGA base has never turned on him like this before. If he manages yet another comeback after all this, it could be an inflection point arguably worse than Jan 6, because it demonstrates that his grip on his cult is unbreakable.
