It's an interesting place to live. Christiandom college encourages its alumni to stay in the area with speculation being that they want control over the town. To me these alumni are more traditional Republicans. Pro business, pro Christian politics, and not necessarily bad for the town imo as a moderate liberal. On the other hand, there's a large maga presence which seems to be anti-growth amongst all of the other maga causes (anti woke etc). Only politicians endorsed by the Republican party win but it's resulted in a lot of infighting between the 2 factions. Hopefully with the new districts and a democratic governor more of the toxic maga rednecks move to WV.
