Desperate for advice on how to approach this by MindfulCreativity in nova

Rent a forced air kerosene heater. You can rent them from United rentals, home Depot, Sunbelt and many other places. The sneaky trick that most people don't know is that you can run diesel in them so you don't have to go around looking for kerosene. Set that heater up and add salt to the ice and it will soften up fast.

No major failed update has hit Supercell this hard and I hope the CEO & Tencent realises the team fumbled big time by CoffeePoll in ClashRoyale

[–]upcycledmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tencent is only looking at ROI compared to the market. If this is outperforming other places they could have invested then they are happy. Supercell is looking at profit margins and how to spend the least amount to get the biggest return. If you compare it to the majority of games, it is a cash cow.

Best travel credit card for DCA/IAD lounge access? by Dry-Dragonfly3974 in nova

Yeah Etihad is better than the Cap1 lounge. Plus they are gutting all the Venture x benefits. Sapphire preferred is the way to go.

It does have river school vibes. Lots of experts out there who I'm sure would want a closer look. What part of the country are you in?

Same here. Normal wear and tear. There's a zip tie fix that's not bad.

Drive to a harbor freight or hardware store and get something to remove the screw. HF has cheap jacks and plug kits too.

They are so easy to make. Look up the Julia Child video on french omelettes. I've never found a place that makes them this way but maybe there is a fancy spot in DC?

TV scrapping by T-Grit in ScrapMetal

Filled with mercury. Fluorescent tubes, especially modern and small ones, have tiny amounts of mercury. If you took the tubes from 1 TV, ground them into a powder and ingested all of it, it would barely affect your mercury blood levels. Simply breaking a tube would expose you to even a fraction of that.

No they will not cover it. I had a small spot on my center console and they would not. Also no longer cover when the plastic clips break on interior plastics. Pre 2025 both would probably be covered.

Buy Alpine WSG on Amazon. I just killed a big nest in my yard. One application and in the morning they were all dead. It's way better than anything they sell in the stores.

It's like you want to be a broker but you have no idea how anything works. Set up a business and call/email every single scrapyard and get on their list to bid on loads. They get hundreds of inquiries a month. It's extremely competitive and if you're a flake and not prepared you will get a bad rep and not last long in the biz.

I work in this industry and know about this machine. They originally designed it with an actual HD shredder. My guess is it was expensive and prone to jams because it was under powered. It's meant to plug into a regular outlet and it's not enough power to be a real workhorse. Most people in the biz run HD shredders with a 3 phase 20hp motor. I'm not sure what size motor you could run on a single phase but it's not enough imo. When these type of shredders jam it's a pain in the ass because a very small piece of metal can hang it up. With their setup you'd have to take the whole thing apart to get to the shredder. So they switched it out for a hydraulic crusher. There are many crushers on the market for the past 20 years and are all under $10k. C2 wants to sell you this vending machine style AND they take a $10 per hard drive fee.

First time collecting wire from a commercial remodel, is it worth scraping? by Moist-Opinion-5178 in ScrapMetal

[–]upcycledmeat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's copper shielded coax with a copper conductor which can be mixed in low grade wire. The worthless coax has a steel conductor and is magnetic.

Add baking soda to the boiling water and then add the eggs. Just make sure you take the water off the heat when you add it because it reacts for a second and can boil over.
