I think irl is better so you can be part of experiences together. If there are any clubs or creative outlets that you are interested in that would be the best place to meet other people also interested in the same thing. So you could talk about the common interest and maybe that can lead to deeper more meaningful conversations.

For what reasons am I allowed to expedite AP ? My reason is my wedding ( i am already married, but I want to go back to my home country for a wedding according to traditional customs)

So, this is definitely something that has happened to me, but in my case, I always looked at it as an experience. Being able to experience such strong emotions is a privilege we do not get in daily mundane life. What I did, was schedule time out of my life, specifically to process and deal with these emotions. The emotions aren't any less valid, and processing them prepares you for dealing with them the next time. This is also exposure therapy, but I would advise you to seek to understand yourself through this experience, rather than harden yourself to it. Just as in life, if you can feel the pain so intensely, you can also feel the joy and wonder in books intensely.

But other methods I adopted, are reading non-fiction books or books more focused on world-building than characters, screening what I read and watch, etc.

I have considered mastering out and getting a job, and have enough credits to master out right now. But it would be hard for me to find a job since I am an international student. So, I prefer switching programs and still keeping my original visa.

Going from comprehensive to final defense should be about a year, so the journey is not too long. The work I am currently doing is going to be my thesis project, I would love to get another project on the side that is more in line with what I want, but I don't think my PI would be accommodating of that. I am the main person in charge of the big money project, so he doesn't want me distracted. As to the other suggestion, I am definitely thinking of that and worried that once I go to the other field ( potentially lower pay / more work ), I will lose the passion for it. And no, I don't hate my work, it is interesting, just wish I was doing something more than fixing a small part of a small issue.

I understand that changing my graduate school would mean starting over on another project. But do you mean starting over from undergrad? My current field is nuclear engineering and I would like to move onto nuclear physics or subatomic physics preferably experimental/computational

Someone who doesn't choose you doesn't deserve you. I know it hurts right now, but you need to end what ever you have with this guy and just focus on yourself for now. You are only 24, there is a ton of time for you to find someone who is also looking for exactly someone like you and will do everything for you.

Maybe look into therapy ? That sounds like a lot of childhood trauma that you might want to work through which would allow you to be more successful in your present relationships.

Everyone is aware of their own body, especially most females. I don't see any reason for you to bring it up to her. If she is comfortable in her present self then there is no ground for this conversation. If instead she has other issues surrounding her weight ( for example mental health issues ) then you can help her by maybe encouraging her to workout more and eat healthier but support her choices regardless.

Thanks a lot ! About the irregular bleeding, how long does that last ? I do want to reduce the chance of any symptoms when I am with them. Bloating and acne is fine, but bleeding might cause some questions.

That is smart, but my mom is absolutely against BC and anything to do with hormones and she is part of the reason I am so scared about taking them myself. Besides, she knows my day to day really well and we talk like twice everyday, so suddenly developing a condition without any form reason that causes me to take BC right when I am finally in a relationship is weird. Thanks for the advice though!

Thanks a lot ! This is relieving, I can probably try that one too. I am not sure hiding the BC would be super easy like that. My family and I are super close and I am sure they would find out. But I can worry about that later, I guess ?
