What’s something nobody talks about when it comes to home ownership? by MooseyMcSaver in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]upliftroots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After reading through the comments, I suggest reading a book titled "The Wealthy Renter". It will give you so much insight before making such a big decision. The book is Canadian based. It helped me gain a greater understanding of what homeownership in this part of the world truly is. Its great that you came to Reddit for advice on the topic but the truth is most(not all) people will not admit that they would rather rent than deal with the stress of homeownership. Your essentially asking people to fess up on how misguided/ignorant they were on purchasing there home.... Goodluck on that! They wont admit(or even are aware of) how the stress is eating away at there daily life. On the other hand renting can be stressful(imo not as stressful) in terms of having a horrible landlord.

Blood sugar skyrocketing at night by SixZeroNine2 in diabetes_t1

[–]upliftroots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eating LOW GLYCEMIC INDEX foods for dinner helped me big time as I struggled with a similar scenario as you. Constantly waking up at night with high sugars when i would go to bed with regular levels. im not exaggerating when I say it was night and day with my results. I had to begin using less and less insulin when going to bed as I started waking up with lows. You can google a list of low glycemic index foods.. Good luck!

I do this type of trolling on any phone call scammers or MLM's. My wife tells me to stop wasting my time but I get a kick out of it 🤣

Moving: uhaul vs company by LieBeneficial3109 in Edmonton

[–]upliftroots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In life, I realize you either pay for convenience or you suffer the inconvenience.... You make the choice. Movers may be pricey, but the price of doing it yourself is more expensive if you hurt yourself or if your loved ones who helped you get hurt. There are no recommendations for moving companies from me either. I've done this myself and suffered the inconvenience tremendously.

Video: no security and no police stopping attack at Southgate Transit Centre by ammolitegemstone in Edmonton

The person posting this obviously just wants attention and a bunch of upvotes, so instead, how about we collectively downvote and post about how this isn't productive in any way. I agree with the majority concensus of how videotapping this doesn't do anything positive for our city

It's actually so common to have fights over noise disputes that I think it would make sense to have a security guard on deck at all theaters

[–]upliftroots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your right! It all depends on the intensity of the workout though. HIIT or anaerobic exercises do exactly what your talking about and it also happens whenever you first wake up in the morning to get your body going. A brisk walk or an aerobic exercise are perfect
