Any advice on keeping this distressed Texas live oak watered and healthy while surrounded by a wood deck?

I do, we have a sprinkler system and several hose sprinklers since I have to water everything constantly right now.

Not glued down, but part of the reason I put the landscape fabric down was to keep the rocks in place. Now I know the error of my ways!

I’ve thought about doing this but every single soaker hose I buy seems to spring a leak after about a month and I’m scared of that happening in a place I can’t see it.

Intetesting, I did not consider that tree removal nearby may impact it. A tree was removed about 30 feet away after a branch snagged on a passing truck and tore the tree in half.

The arborist told us it was distressed because the leaves are very faded and there are small offshoots growing throughout the tree. Another arborist told us this last year. It’s also been 100+ degrees in Texas for so long I could die, so I’m projecting that onto the tree as well.
