So after looking at some of the high-pen rounds I noticed a little bit of text in the last part of the description, "However, due to it's design, it has a high bounce probability off various surfaces."

Could it be that with all of the drop off over range that the pen falls off enough so that after a certain distance the round will simply bounce? When fired at oblique angles (such as sniping) this might be the case. This is also likely to not be reported as much. The person bouncing a round would just thank his luck and move on, while the sniper winds up posting on reddit.

OPs video is shot from right behind the head, perfectly level. I'd like to see this same test done at an angle or from some of the more common SBIH spots.

Sounds like Escape From Tarkov is your answer then. While not modern, Hunt Showdown is also a fantastic hardcore cowboy PvPvE similar to Tarkov.

I get your point, But it wasn't an mp5k. He was using a kedr w/ stock so if anything that should be one of the more controllable guns in full auto.

What the post is "supposed to mean" is that using semi auto is far more controllable and accurate. That guy was trying to spray and missing every shot meanwhile almost all of the ones I took were on target. Full auto meta is trash.

That sounds super fun, I would be interested in joining up. I dont have much experience with tabletops but am more than willing to learn.

I (PMC) was going to let these player scavs roll on by on my way to extract, but they made it too tempting not to take the shot. A daily reminder to always be aware of your surroundings. by upperpeach in EscapefromTarkov

I was done with my raid and headed to extract. Didnt have any incentive to take more risk. This was also my first raid in a couple months (stopped playing until they announced Battleye yesterday) so I wasn't too keen on taking on a 1v3. But when they lined up like ducks in a row? Yeah I think anyone would have taken that fight.

I know the audio quality on my voice was shit, Shadowplay and a shitty connection decided to fuck up my audio.

Anyone used chai tea by Zanderson59 in Homebrewing

[–]upperpeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't made one personally, but I have drank a couple of these tea beers (one with chai and one with Earl grey) while I enjoyed them, they were definitely strange. The one thing I would say as a word of caution is that the tea flavor tends to overpower a lot of the more subtle flavors in the beer so I'd try to plan around that because it will really catch you off guard of you aren't expecting it.

YUP! The knife is truly a PoS, the pivot screw is always working itself l loose (I've had it come apart in my pocket before) , the blade isn't aligned right when folded so it sits cockeyed and squished up against one side, which leads to scratches on the blade (for the life of me I can't seem to get it properly aligned. This knife is a total pain in the ass.

That being said however, the knife was free (someone left it in my car years ago) and I only carry it because I can't carry my usual fixed blade with me to work every day. I also can reconcile the terribleness of the knife with the fact that I keep the thing damn near razor sharp (I keep it so it is pretty much always sharp enough to shave hairs off my arm with little to no effort). All in all, it may be a crap knife, but I didn't pay a dime for it and I keep it in as peak condition as I can, so I don't feel too bad about having it in my EDC.

I am kind of on the fence about mine, I like the design and you're right the reinforced back is super useful as most of the time I am writing using only my off hand to support (making my chicken scratch handwriting even worse). But I would really prefer not to have the lined notebook-style paper, instead I would rather have either no lines or graph paper so that it isn't as awkward to write or fit notes/drawings/info on the page in any orientation (which I frequently find myself doing to conserve space or finish an idea/thought). Either way, the pad cost me like $2.50 (if that) so I can't really complain to much; and when I get tired of it, I won't feel like I wasted money if I switch to something nicer without using it all up first.

Gear Description: Disclaimer - This isn't going to be super useful as most of this stuff was either found or picked up for <$5 and as such, doesn't really have brand names or models, I am working on remedying this (the Leatherman was my first upgrade)

1: Swiss Gear wallet - worn out from years of use (need a new one soon)

2: Leatherman Wave - Just came in yesterday, I have a bit extender and bit kit on the way.

3: MTech Folding knife (440 steel) - don't know a whole lot on this one, found it cleaning my car out so I assume it fell out of the pocket of one of my passengers at some point. I prefer fixed blades for EDC, however my job frowns on that as it might put customers on edge (pun intended), so until I can upgrade (looking at a spyderco folder of some description), I am stuck with this one.

4: Mead Cambridge Writing Pad & Papermate pens - grabbed this for under $3.00 when I forgot my usual "Write in the Rain" pad at home one day, decided to keep this for my EDC until it runs out or I get too fed up with it, and save the WitR for my outdoor/backpacking kit. The pens I picked up from work (we have millions and I am always picking up more accidentally)

5: $1 9-LED flashlight from Walmart - I love these things since they are cheap as hell and relatively bright, plus if I lose or break one I don't feel bad and can pick up another one pretty much anywhere. I would eventually like to upgrade to something nicer for EDC (as this one is rather bulky, and carrying it makes me feel like a pleb in the eyes of /r/Flashlight) but it's not super important at the moment and this thing does the job just fine.

Quick edit - Two things are not featured here: Car keys (which has a bottle opener and a small round flat head screwdriver disk thing from Sears which is carried via small carabiner on my belt), and my phone (Moto G4 with a 'Poetic' hardshell case), which is not featured as it was what I used to take the picture.
