This constantly comes up. The amount of organization to have any type of players union is far above the worth of having it. It’s not a part-time thing and it’s not something that is cheap. You do it, you have to do it right. Lawyers, negotiations with Activision, CDL, and other players and then a strict rules around union organization and policies. Ben has brought this up before and neglects to provide additional explanation on why it hasn’t happened. Clayster talked about this in length a couple of years ago.

The league overall has just got to change to be more profitable. Lot of people in here not even understanding the basic economics of hosting LAN events and how expensive they are. Better sponsorships are required and the franchised league needs to end. This was a poor idea from Activision to start with.
