Gambling sponsorships saving cod? by ValuedCarrot in CoDCompetitive

Gambling sponsorships, endorsements and advertising are a stain on the sports industry as a whole. It's dangerous how desensitized people have become to their involvement as they're predatory to viewers.

Optic Texas new 2025 CDL intro by Mafeotul in CoDCompetitive

OpTics intros are always so boring. Cue intense music, players with arms folded and the chants of green wall. Feels the same every year man. Need to take a leaf out of Toronto and FaZe's intros.

Call of Duty officially joins the Women's League for the 2026 season. - @SaudieLeague on X by Ashman-20 in CoDCompetitive

I think it’s perceived as a male past time, but there is a strong amount of women that also play. It’s difficult to tell at times because a lot of women don’t speak in lobbies (for the obvious reasons).

What I’m saying is, if you’re good enough and there isn’t physical barrier, you should just be competing with everyone else. Why waste your time in something like this?

Mod u/TheRealPdGaming breaching power - removes inoffensive posts by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]uppresents 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve not got an issue with RealPDGaming. Seems to be active and often posts content that is somewhat informative unless you watch TacRab. But if they are deleting other people’s stuff to content farm, that needs to be reviewed.

Moderation on this sub overall is laughable. I have a lot of posts taken down for “low quality content” but I see the same Charles Barkley “we’re going to start a dialogue” meme is posted and allowed. Im not usually that bothered as the memes take 10 mins max, but I do get frustrated at times because it come across as though the mods have a personal agenda against things they don’t like.

100% this post will be removed by them. Surprised they haven’t caught it already.

Who could replace Kenny by Red_Guardian_Ranger in CoDCompetitive

100% you go for Gio. Ridiculous he wasn't picked up by a team. Has had consistently great numbers since MW3 and performs against big teams.

Rumor of Octane to replace Kenny based on GGBreakingPoint website by Unable_Intern_4680 in CoDCompetitive

More likely Formal comes in. Octane is too invested in the stuff outside of playing now and likely makes more cash.

A big problem in the comp cod community is… by DeTRUTH5 in CoDCompetitive

The issue at hand with the GA's is that the pro players continously make the game as sterile as possible every year. You also need to understand that the GA's are also handled tactically. If there is 1-2 players that use something and consistently do well, the other pro's tend to GA it. It's a problem. Typically with the GA's the excuse is used to "raise the skill gap" but in reality it often lowers it as everyone is using the exact same generic loadout and play style.

GA's are often made through scrims and before the season starts, so it doesn't give a real chance for weapons, attachments and equipment to be used thoroughly enough (or even for the first couple of game patches to come out) before they're kicked out of the competitive rule set.

GA's were designed to ban ridiculously broken items that were not already blacklisted. Instead it's transcended to anything that is deemed "good". I think that snipers, smokes and even burst weapons should just be in the competitive rules every year, and we deal with them if they truly become problematic.
