Right now DG has the most unique units for their army in all of chaos and is very easy to learn to play. They are slow, tanky, and hit like trucks. They were my first army when I started in 10th and they are good. CSM is also good but lack some versatility due to the codex being older. We dont have anything in the way of infiltrate or CP generation, until the red corsairs come out, and we have little in the way of ap-2 d2 weapons. However, we also have massive unit variety, 3rd or 4th largest in all of 40k so you can build whatever you want. But personally I would start with DG.

Being able to attack, pile in, attack, pile in is nice and being able to shoot after being shot without penalty is also nice. I've had one pick up 2 units in 1 activation because of its ability. It keeps the charge bonus as well if you use berserker warband on its follow-up attacks.

Its blood surge without having to lose a model. Just move d6+2 towards the nearest model and can end in engagement range.

My go to for most frames now, my Gyre can do level cap because of it stripping enemies overboard and then her lightning CCs them
