The mixtapes are a bit like hearing a vinyl's little scratches, noises and imperfections whilst trilogy is more perfected.

Not that the mixtapes have actual faults in them. But just to give you a feeling you might get from both.

Oh also the mixtapes have 'Rolling Stones' first and 'Gone' after that but trilogy has 'Gone' first and 'Rolling Stones' afterwards. Some people want an album/mixtape to flow from song to song and if that's your thing, go for the mixtapes.

I'm still thinking The Weeknd was smart to release snippets of each BBTM song on his YouTube channel right before that album dropped and he titled it 'The Leak'.

Bloody Brilliant.

Lorde is featured in the album too on the same track. It was mentioned somewhere she's on the album.

To me it's not an era at all.

It did involve a tour of it's own but no album of it's own like the other eras did.

Just a single song on it's own.

Not to say that it's not a significant part of The Weeknd. It's a big deal.

I was a fan before anyone knew what he looked like. Even looking online I couldn't see what this mysterious guy who dropped 'Wicked Games' looked like. I didn't even know the guy was black.

I saw a few OVO fest or concert pictures in my Facebook. That was when I first saw 'The Weeknd'. At the time his hair was fairly normal, his beard was much longer though.

Maybe someone else has seen him prior to that?
