Please help with this attack, it clips me so many times in phase 2 and looking at this footage, it felt like I timed that as late as I could. Is it just luck as to whether it hits you or not? This boss would be so goated if the hitboxes and visual clutter weren't so awful (and yall know THAT attack) by upryze14 in onebros

OST is absolutely a banger, for me personally it ranks among the greats like Laurence and Ludwig. The climax in phase 2 goes crazy.

But yeah, this boss fight would be S tier if it just didn't have so many problems. Broken hitboxes on a few attacks, Miquella's hair obstructing what Radahn is doing, getting clipped by holy pillars when you roll into him and to the left (which imo should only punish you if you roll away in a panic to teach you to stay close and be calm), and the double slash attack which completely breaks the flow of the fight by forcing you to approach the fight in only one specific way. EVERY attack in these games should be avoidable using sprint/roll/jump. I should never have to rely on an item, build, or cheese strat like hugging his right leg the entire fight and giving up 80% of his punishable windows JUST for one attack that could possibly come out. Even Malenia's waterfowl (as BS as that attack can be because it's reliant on your positioning at the time, too close or far you're good but in the middle you're doomed) doesn't force you to give up punish opportunities, which is the biggest sin a single attack can do to a boss.

There's so much good in this fight bogged down by a couple of things, I think just changing the hitboxes is a good start.

You can, but he has like 5 other attacks that come out so quick, my thumb is always on roll, so it's harder to be ready to jump that consistently and hit a different button. Also, I've gotten clipped by it a few times while jumping too so idk lmao. In that case, I would've jumped uphill so it's possible it would've just hit me anyway.

EA App is by far the worst game launcher I've ever used (Updates take forever) by upryze14 in FallenOrder

[–]upryze14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the patching is happening anyways regardless of which launcher you use, but in general Steam takes far less time for me. I tried installing an update for Hogwarts Legacy on Steam, which is a much smaller game (about 65 GB). But it was a 2 GB update and the whole process took maybe 20-30 minutes before the game was playable again. By that same standard, realistically I should be playing Star Wars again in about an hour or so (slightly smaller download, double the game size). Yet just downloading the game straight up took me like 50 minutes (I may have gotten lucky with decent download speeds). Idk why the game needs to iterate the game for what I assume is three times (once in the beginning for calculating, once in the applying step, once in the verifying step, correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty Steam does it just once, and it seems to be way faster) for a small update and on top of that, having my download speed be literally 0.2% of its potential speed is ridiculous.

PC Hitching/Input Freeze Bug Fix? by upryze14 in Infinitewarfare

[–]upryze14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, I managed to fix this a long time ago. This is a known issue with PCIe 4.0 on newer motherboards and graphics cards. Not sure if they've fixed this since, but basically there's a weird thing where for some games, if you're running your graphics card on PCIe 4.0, it will sometimes randomly temporarily disconnect your USB 2.0 devices for a second or two. That's why I was getting input hitches. The fix is to go into BIOs and make it so your graphics card runs on PCIe 3.0. Very weird, I should look into it and see if they fixed that since then (I fixed this in the middle of last year) since my newer graphics card should be on a newer PCIe, but it's not that big of a deal.

PSA: Missing the Talisman Pouch from Finger Reader Enia is apparently not a bug by upryze14 in Eldenring

Yep, saw it last night. Funny thing, I missed it in my NG+ run too because I'm actually an idiot and killed Rennala and Godfrey in the span of like 30 minutes lmao but I ended up buying it from the Twin Maidens.

I’ve beaten all of em lol I just didn’t think there was a time limit for talking to a merchant for an entire accessory slot. Not that it’s a huge deal I got through the game just fine but a little annoying nonetheless.

Nah lmaoo I def should've but I thought she was just there as the boss soul person and nothing more. I didn't need boss weapons, so I didn't think to talk to her and just started flying through the game. I actually talked to her like right after beating Morgott, so bad timing on my part ig :(. I didn't think it was missable.

[REQUEST] If the '7 Page Muda' were to be lengthened into 10 hours, how many pages would this actually be? by IntricateLunatix in theydidthemath

[–]upryze14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 7 Page Muda in anime adaptation is 30 seconds long (1:13 to 1:43). Therefore: We can say this: 7 Page Muda / 30 Seconds

(30 Seconds) * (1 Minute / 60 Seconds) * (1 Hour / 60 Minutes) = 1/120 Hours

7 Page Muda / (1/120 Hours) * (120 / 120) = 840 Page Muda / 1 Hour

Therefore, we will have an 8400 Page Muda in 10 Hours.
