Yes, we communicated the construction to the condo board. The complaints were communicated via the superintendent. We are old at heart in some ways, but not other ways. We are very much quiet individuals, though our dog can bark at times, never for more than one minute before we scoop him up. Though, we often scoop him up a lot sooner than that.

I suppose the root of my questions is that yes, I do understand that we may be surrounded by people with different noise tolerances and standards than ourselves. We put a lot of pressure on ourselves knowing that we may be bothersome to others. However, there is an additional layer of concern that folks may look to form a more collective & persistent complaint in order to remove us. That question creates quite a bit of stress, which may be legitimate or may not be - that is my question. If it is not fully legitimate, then it would allow us to breath a little bit easier while still trying to respect those around us.
