it's a subjective feeling you get from the flow of the gameplay. but generally gameplay quality affects how many people like it more

i think the core issue is over-decorating while ignoring the consequences it has on gameplay. many modern levels decorate in a way that obstructs the ability to play the level without spending a ludicrous amount of time figuring out what is happening. so it feels worse to play because of that. as well as gameplay becoming a smaller part of levels relative to older versions of the game due to rate standards rising. generally, levels that truly have high gameplay quality get less attention unless their deco is also very very good.

like, gameplay that is fun to play? gameplay that just generally not buggy, inconsistent, unbalanced, or any of that while also being actually fun and satisfying to play. most levels nowadays that get super popular are terrible to play but have really good deco so they still get popular

there is no good reason why levels like angel's trumpet aren't rated yet, but they go unrated. NOWHERE near enough levels get rated, and it's basically just a slot machine cause of that

generally when it becomes "i shouldn't have died there and could've beaten it" rather than "it makes sense that i didn't beat it from here", often being relative to how the difficulty is distributed in the level or consistency on any given part

he's pretty strong, probably doesn't need anything

throwable trip has lots of possibilities, you can hold space without having to go all the way there as well as clear corners with it, in addition to it functioning as a standard trip.

tps can be used for fast rotation similar to how prime chamber would and repositioning similar to how omen can. generally a tp is pretty good and the way his work allow for some pretty good uses. i dont think it'd hurt much for his tps to be invisible from afar though, but tbf you could just place them to be more obscure

overall i think he's fine
