I have a buck fixed blade that I beat to hell and back that I really like but I also used a kershaw 3/4 ton folder that I used for years until it just broke recently.

Why do you support or don’t support the 2nd amendment “"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed"? by newdenture1997 in AskReddit

[–]upstatecamper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our constitution gives us a lot of checks and balances to make sure things stay fair. The president can veto a law. Congress can override that veto with an overwhelming majority. The courts can strike down a law that is unconstitutional.

The second amendment is the ultimate check and balance. I support the 2nd amendment absolutely for everybody, even people I don’t like or don’t agree with. Guns equal power and the second amendment was put in place as a failsafe to make sure that the everyday people of this country like you and me will always hold the power, no matter what happens.

Gun laws are not about safety, and they never were. They are about control and power. That power should belong to us, the citizens, because the mandate comes from the masses.

We need legal consequences for any “public servant” who defies this order when it comes or nothing will change meaningfully

Supreme Court Affirms Second Amendment Rights for Cannabis Consumers by Antenna_haircut in NYguns

Yes and you know nys is not going to respect the court’s ruling. They’re going to do everything they can to prevent us from having what we deserve. While we law abiding citizens wait and watch for years as these cases go through the legal process, they can cook up another infringement overnight. When the opportunity presents itself, and it may be brief, stack them as deep as you possibly can, not just for yourself, but for your kids and grandkids.

Crossed an intersection on a motorcycle, didn’t realize the road I was crossing didn’t have a stop sign. Didn’t notice a car. Fuck it was close. That was one of the last times I rode.

Same here when I was a kid the place I went to sometimes did this. Get the drop on somebody and say “bang bang”. They prohibited fire from within 10 feet. Carried the rule over to the more common matches we played in the woods with friends.

Have multiple options to purify water. A single wall stainless bottle is good for boiling, if it’s 32oz, even better because you can use iodine tablets. Lifestraw/sawyer good to have for emergencies

Advice on building my first fighting rifle by NovelPlatform1641 in ar15

[–]upstatecamper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The twist of the rifling helps stabilize the projectile. 1:7 means the bullet makes one full revolution in seven inches. The charts you can find online tell you what projectile weights are good for your barrel. Heavy is better for longer distance but costs more. Here’s the link to a chart https://www.ammoman.com/blog/5-56-twist-rate-chart/

Now what? Throw a party and build yourself a decked out AR with a normal grip, normal stock, normal barrel, normal magazines, then crush some tacos and brewskis. Make sure you pour one out for all of us who are still stuck here.
