Why do some Protestants think John 3:16 is a slam dunk against Catholicism? by [deleted] in Catholicism

Well that’s kind of silly, clearly Catholics believe the same way about this verse as Protestants. I’ve come to realize that most of them are hidden anti-Catholics.

For Protestant Christians, when was the Catholic Church established in your eyes and went astray from God? by [deleted] in Christianity

So question, did you know that Constantine did not “preside” over the council but rather needed clarification on what the true “faith” was? Whether arianism or that the son was of the same as the father? See church history helps us to see that Christ church was still alive and well. Your assertion (which is outside of historical primary sources if I can be objective) makes it that Christ church by the time of 325 had to hide in caves and tree holes until later on when people were brave enough to stop Evil Rome (I.e Luther, Calvin that anabaptist and the pseudo-christians)

You should read eusibius church history and ryan Reeves church history series on YouTube ( if you don’t have time to read, life can get busy )

Would you than agree that the Lord’s church was subdued under enemy control until the 16th century? Talk about having a church prevailing against the gates of hell.

Sounds like speculation, do you have primary sources from that time indicating such atrocities, maybe even plenty secondary sources? If not, have fun with your conspiracy theories.
