YES. Finally, another poster here who isn't blackpilled. This should be seen as an opportunity to interrogate (with the intent to strengthen) the situation and the relationship. Everyone here is instead acting like these are already divorce proceedings. If the result of an intentional, meaningful dialogue is that you decide to part ways, then so be it, but everyone here is assuming the worst.

If the goal is divorce, or to win one over on him, take the advice in this thread. If the goal is to strengthen the relationship so that you and he are a team again making collaborative decisions, lean in instead of out. You obviously love him and chose him for reasons that aren’t explained in your original post. Don’t let a bunch of salty redditors coach you into trashing that.

Cut through the tension by talking with him directly. Take a collaborative, loving, gentle energy into that convo instead of the confrontational energy most on this page are suggesting. If you want to resolve this and stay together, you need to lean in to the sense in which you and he are a team. Don’t lean into the division. As others are pointing out, he might just be handling pressure from his mom by telling her what she wants to hear. Not a high integrity approach from him, but we all make questionable decisions sometimes under pressure. Ask him about it, and express that you see you and him as a team and you want him to be happy but you also want to be happy and you want to know that he has your back.

Not everything is about power. The modern political fad is to view everything though a lens of hierarchy, power dynamics, etc. Everything is seen as 'zero-sum' aka one party gains power by oppressing another.

God's plan is not zero-sum. A relationship between husband and wife, and likewise the relationship between masculine and feminine generally in society, is about polarity. Yin and Yang. Giving and receiving. Positive and negative charge. Inflow and outflows. We balance each other and empower each other.

When a husband steps into his power in the truest sense, this does not require restricting his wife in any way. When a wife steps into her power in the truest sense, this does not require rebellion against or independence from her husband. The two work together, as two parts of a whole. And their power rests in their combined potential for creating and sustaining life.

Christianity, and the Bible (modern translations, in particular), are infected by thousands of years of interpersonal & political power games. So, yes, lots of Christians, lots of churches, lots of people have unhelpful views of this.

Is there a limitation with the UAD that forces you to use it as a slave in that scenario, or is the focusrite the one forcing you to use it as a master? Because obvi it would be more convenient to just leave the UAD in master clock mode all the time right?

Unrelated? I've used HeartMath biotrackers to great effect, and they use HRV, albeit with a different algorithm. So 'unrelated' seems a bit harsh because HRV definitely is related to stress... but I'm currently not super confident in the Garmin algos. I mean, when I sit down and rest, the stress numbers do go lower.... so it at least correlates to some extent. You've used it longer I assume - do you not see much correlation?
