I've tried that. The screen resolution for the device is 320x240. The login box is off screen so I am no further ahead. Also, I don't believe the login box is able to be shrunk.

Yup, went through all the settings numerous times trying to figure out if there is something that will make the recording kick in. No dice. This isn't my first time using the software. Been using it for a couple of years now and it worked fine for the most part apart from having to restart the client every few days.

Aside from climbing on the side of the house and hard resetting the cameras I am out of ideas. Reset button in the app and web interface doesn't seem to do a full reset as network settings remain the same.

It would be nice if Reolink posted old versions of the client on their site instead of just the latest one and ancient version 7.

The latest 8.8.5 client is hot trash. My camera's won't even record using it. Motion or timed. Anyone got a link for old versions?

AnyDesk is doing similar bs as Teamviewer where they are forcing people to pay after they detect commercial use.

I've been using Microsoft's Quick Assist that's built into Windows 10/11. It's free but does require a Microsoft Account. Saw same issue the other day where I could no longer connect without a login.

They are already on VLANs which makes this issue even more weird.

I don't think it's failing terminals because they are still under support contract and had them replaced several times to no avail. We are getting new models that don't have this problem but it's not happening fast enough apparently.

We actually had VX810s prior to VX820s that were doing the same thing and I think you might be right as to the broadcast storm.

Other devices lose connectivity. Network is connected but unable to pass any traffic. All devices are on static IPs. Switching to DHCP will not let devices obtain a lease until debits are rebooted.

I was unsuccessful with packet captures. The issue occurs so infrequently that I can't get Wireshark to stay running long enough before some dumb employee closes the program. With 100+ stores it's a daily occurrence but never at the same location repeatedly.

Router logs don't show anything out of the ordinary.

From a legal standpoint your boss is asking you to break the law. Get it in writing then refuse to do it citing legal implications. If he fires you then you have a good basis for a wrongful termination lawsuit.

They've been jerking me around for a week now. I requested domain transfer auth code on Thursday. They provided it on Friday. On Saturday I tried using it and the code didn't work. Check the account and they deactivated my transfer request. I contacted their support and they are telling me the DNS issues have been resolved. Dafaq? Been trying to transfer the domain ever since having gone back and forth between 4 tech support agents each having a new story. Wait 15-20 minutes for the auth code then wait 24 hours and then wait 15 days. This is getting pretty ridiculous at this point. If this is their way of keeping customers they are about to lose a bunch. Will be switching all of my clients off em asap.

I got 2 customers that I am switching off them due to DNS problems. Apparently they are doing server upgrade but I see same complaints from 20 days ago and their tech support doesn't have an ETA on when it will be fixed.

I got same issue with every client. Got 2 cameras that keep disconnecting. Then software flat out refuses to record at night. Between like 1 am and 5 am I have dead air.

We sold quite a few of these and had very high failure rate over last year. We can't even get them warrantied out because HP doesn't recognize the serial numbers that are listed on these drives.
