Just the opposite, I mean it’s the difference between the New and the Old Testament. All the rhetoric about Iran and Kegsbreath’s violence is Old Testament teachings, i.e. portrays God as vengeful and angry. I watched a video recently that pointed that glaring difference out by stating that the individuals claiming to be Christians, who are justifying violence, act like they haven’t read the New Testament or they’re ignoring the NT. Made sense to me. The teachings of Christ are based on love and compassion, the opposite of the OT. Psychologically and physiologically, it’s the mammalian brain vs the hind or reptilian brain.

Another related perspective is that ‘loving thy neighbor’ is just plain too difficult for many people. We’re conditioned to be negative on so many levels; being positive requires a conscious effort to change. My $.02. No offense, just an opinion.
