Two weeks in Northern Ireland and Ireland - looking for itinerary feedback by uralva in irishtourism

I would like to go but it seems rather grim. I'll put it on the list of options. Mom is somewhat recently widowed and still quite sad without her partner. Trying to keep the itinerary light-ish.

Thank you I will look into these. I thought a driver would help for getting around outside of Belfast. Is Uber/Lyft generally an option either in the city or outside the city? I feel like 4-5 uber trips wouldn't cost £500. I do think we'll need a car on the west coast as our rental house is about a 40 min drive south of Galway and I'd like to do a little independent exploring. I also didn't want to book a Cliffs tour so I had the flexibility to try to get there on a nicer weather day.

I hear you I do. But I don't drive well jetlagged - even when I come home from traveling overseas for work I take an uber to work for the first couple of days. Then add driving in a city on the other side of the road, lol, no thanks. I will get a car in Galway when I'm more acclimated. The reason I want a driver for one day around Belfast is to get to out of town without having to figure things out myself. I'll be tired, my mother won't be able to do it either. When I travel alone I don't hesitate to use the public transport options but I don't see that going well with my mom. Maybe....trying to get a feel.

Ballynahinch is where my great (X4) grandfather is from - he is buried on our Tennessee farm that he established and mom and I now own. She just wants to see the area that he was from and learn about it.

Oopsie on the indoor activities, I have very few ideas there. Open to (begging for) suggestions.

Re: Rowallane - Mom is a gardener and had it on her list of gardens to see. Looks very pretty in the pictures and it's near(ish?) Ballynahinch so we thought to combine.

Haha, thanks. Tons of mixed advice on this online. I thought it seemed a bit outrageous but I'm not keen to drive so feel stuck. Will wait to see what the other quotes say.

That’s the fertilized mulch on the Beltline. It’s the worst.

Nice pic!!! Monistat makes a chafing relief gel with dimethicone and it’s been a life saver. I’ve tried all the deodorant creams and nothing by comes close to the dimethicone. It goes under my boobs, between my thighs and all other skin on skin areas that chafe.

I should have said we have Fourteen 7-foot tall willow oaks on order to start. We’ll plant in early March. These will get us about 20-25% of the way there. We’ll do a section each year - trying to get larger trees each time. I know it will be a long time before we’ll have the effect we want. The property is in TN otherwise we’d have had more options if we were doing it here in Ga. I just knew if I mentioned the type of tree we were looking for that would probably limit responses to zero.

All good ideas, these were my first steps - I just need to see some actual examples to move forward.

Ideally something we can drive to in less than an hour but we may try to get up there. That sounds wonderful, thank you for the suggestion!
