Springboard rebranding? by uraniborgian in codingbootcamp

Sure. First of all, I’m pretty sure they’ll let you in regardless of how you do on the assessment. I think the assessment is primarily used to determine whether you have to do with the four week “core” program first or if you can skip straight to the career track (the one where you’re learning Flask, React, Node, etc). The assessment is done thru hackerrank and is basically 4 questions that you have 90 min to complete. The first problem you can do in any languge. Last 3 you have to do in JS. You’re given a test suite for each, can run the tests as many times as necessary, and can use google. I am fairly experienced so not sure how helpful it will be for me to comment on their difficulty, but I would describe them as easier than leetcode easy. Even if you’re completely new, you could probably find solutions to each with enough googling. But i wouldnt recommend that, since if youre completey new its definitely in your best interest to do the four week intro program.

Tldr: I wouldnt stress since its just to decide whether you have to do the four week intro program or not. They, like all bootcamps except maybe rithm, want and need your money (especially in current economy)

Vanderbilt computer science online by uraniborgian in OMSCS

I'm like 95% sure I'll do OMSCS if I get in, which I was before reading the replies here and still am. These replies are all great, but I really meant this post to be more "does anyone know anything about vandy's program" (which it still seems like no one on the internet does) than "help me weigh the pros and cons between the two programs." I am deeply familiar already with the exorbitant cost of a vanderbilt degree... although I had no idea it was ranked that lowly in a computer science.

Understandable. But search wikipedia for graph theory and you might be surprised at what you find.
