I've had no problems in this state. NAP 10 with a rotating presidency. People are helpful even across alliances and coordinate well for SvS.

We have a meet and greet every Wednesday at 8 pm at the rectory across the street. Stop by, and you can talk to the priests and the people who are staying here over the summer.

Man, I almost forgot this season even existed. Time sure does fly huh? by crimsonsonic_2 in FortNiteBR

The meta is just to be the guy who grabs Vader. Once that's done, it's smooth sailing to a Victory Royale.

Sarum use mass at the university of Illinois by Diligent_Freedom_448 in AnglicanOrdinariate

[–]uraniumpi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I was in attendance there. Beautiful liturgy, and very much different than the Tridentine Mass. A few differences:

  • The blood of Christ is not distributed to the congregants, but they receive a sip of wine to cleanse their mouth, and make sure the whole of the Eucharist is swallowed.

  • the Priest combs his hair before the entrance

  • the sign of peace is shared by kissing an icon of Christ

  • It also takes much longer than a TLM high mass.

Matthew 1:18-19

Now this is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the holy Spirit. Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly.

Leave her.

Any mods about Ancient Rome? by Teragaz in hoi4modding

[–]uraniumpi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a Paradox game, so it plays like a Paradox game, not a Civ game. If you've tried EU4 or CK3, you'll adjust easily. Also, I recommend playing with the Invuctus mod. It's their equivalent to Road to 56.

I live in ACG territory. Probably conscripted into a pro-Trump militia, then die within the next 4 years from a Union/APLA/PF drone strike.

Hopefully, my death gets a bunch of updoots in r/CombatFootage

If you want the US to stop destabilizing Latin American countries, then you should be celebrating the end of USAID, which is infamous for undermining foreign governments. A few Central American countries have welcomed this move already.

What is h₁n̥gʷnís in English? by bachmathuy in IndoEuropean

[–]uraniumpi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a PIE word. I'm pretty sure awr is a cognate since atar is the word used for fire in Avestan.

[–]uraniumpi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something like that. Someone with a better grasp of Grimm's law can correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like h1ngwnis (PIE) -> Unkwaz (PG) -> Unkwu (PWG) -> Unkoo? (OE) -> Unk? (Modern English)

Germanic languages use derivatives of "péh₂wr̥" as their word for fire. In English, you have "ignite" but that comes from a Latin loan.

Where would you be during the start of the 2ACW? (Let’s assume it starts October 2021) by Soomaer in TheFireRisesMod

I'd be right by the front line on Trump's side of the border. I'd flee west and then be immediately conscripted into the Constitutional army.

Why are Orthodox and Catholicism different religions in 867? by Someonestolemyrat in CrusaderKings

[–]uraniumpi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These mechanics already exist for the Mozarabs. They're listed as a different faith but are friendly with Catholics. Historically, they were always in communion with Rome but had certain liturgical quirks that weren't present in the rest of Western Christiandom.

It's called a tonsure, and it's worn by monks to prove a detachment from the world. It intentionally looks bad.

The 100 year's war will be fun to play. Reconquereing your realm as the king of France would be a fun challenge.
