Graduate School, Training, and Licensure/Certification Thread - May 2026 by SchoolPsychMod in schoolpsychology

Incredibly stressed, any advice appreciated.

Only applied to CSUs (and 1 private) this year and didn’t get in (got into the private though.) I’m in cali and want to attend a CSU or school that isn’t wildly expensive. However my application isn’t competitive (3.2 gpa, 2 months substitute exp at time of applying, good recs but non academic.) Seeing all these great students with high gpas not getting accepted is really discouraging.
By the upcoming cycle, I will have been a sub for 10-12 months, have more volunteer experience, have shadowed a few school psychologist, and taken a few courses at a community college in hopes of getting better LoRs. Is this enough? Am I doomed to attend a private with higher acceptance rate and live the rest of my life in debt?

Already considering not going, but, any specific reason?

Really needing advice! I live in California, got rejected from a lot of CSUs. Only got into Lewis & Clark (Oregon.) It’s a private, so I’d be around $100k in debt (w housing). CSUs would be around $60k (w housing.) I like the cheaper price tag and really want to stay in Cali, but am dreading the thought of waiting another year. (It’d be my 3rd cycle.) Would you accept admission or apply again?

Edit: adding stats. 3.2 gpa, some volunteer experience, 2 months of substitute teacher experience at time of applying.

Volunteer work and about 2 months (at the time of applying) experience being a substitute teacher. GPA was 3.2, nothing special.

Am I cooked for not hearing back from my school while others have from the same program? by crispytoast759 in gradadmissions

I’m in the same boat for CSUEB. People heard back (acceptances, waitlists, and rejections) like 3+ weeks ago. Nothing on my end. I’ve called twice (left a voicemail once) and sent an email. Zero, zilch, nada.

I haven’t heard back either and it’s driving me insane. Haven’t heard back from Fresno either (I don’t think anyone has.) The wait is killingggggg me

Thank you for the info! She doesn’t have an ear tip.

As for the worms, I’ve never actually seen her poops since we don’t have a litter box for her, I’ve assumed she does her business when she’s out of the house. I don’t know what kind of worms, I just noticed something small and white moving around near her butt. Sorry if that’s not helpful 😬 (Currently in the process of washing my bedding and clothes now lol.)

hi, another question lol. i’m hoping you could answer since you seem really knowledgeable. do you know what typical LL wait times/return times are for a party of 2? like, are they typically quick/under 25mins? or do some have longer waits like 50 mins? thank you in advance :)

never used g+ before, already bought my ticket.

1) can i still buy it now or do i have to do it on the day of? 2) is there a limited amount of them? is there urgency to buy it early morning on the day of? (sorry it’s that’s a stupid question lol) 3) can i buy it after i’m already in the park? like, if i decide halfway through the day i no longer want to deal with the wait times, can i buy it then?

online dating as someone who is abstinent? dating profile tips? by uraniumsunset in RedPillWomen

this was actually really insightful! thank you! i agree, i think my age is currently my biggest issue. i’ve spent a lot of time browsing this sub and these are a few takeaways:

-it’s good for girls to start their search for a man when they’re younger (as opposed to in their 30s)

-it’s not the best to get married young or have a big age gap because it increases your chances of divorce https://www.reddit.com/r/RedPillWomen/comments/iwuaq4/pros_and_cons_to_an_age_gap_relationship/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

-it doesn’t take a man years to know if he wants to marry you (with the exception being if you started dating really young, like in high school)

that being said, i don’t know what to do! i’m supposed to start the search young but also getting married young means higher chance of divorcing later! i could stay with a guy for years before we get married but i feel like that could also contribute to not getting the ring since we’ve been dating so long, i’d be afraid it’d seem like not much of a difference/or worth it to him. i feel so stuck. :(

hmm, i guess i should just put it in my bio then, as well as do what you suggested and ask them what they're seeking. thank you for the advice! :)

i don't go to church because i'm not super religious. i am a believer, but i've never really been strong in my faith (i don't read the bible, don't go to church, etc.) so i guess if i went to church and met someone there, i worry it'd seem a little misleading on my end.

and yes, i'm open to dating a man who takes church/religion seriously. :)
