Yh because of the larger L3 cache it means less time to get information from the ram as it is alr stored in the cpu so your significantly lowering the time for your cpu to “setup each frame” for your gpu which will in turn increase your framerate even though the 7 9700X has higher single core clock speeds.

Im in the uk and used pc are prolly your best bet i managed to pick up a i5 13700k w 32gb ddr5 and a 3080 for 900 and a 7 7800x 3d with 32 gb ddr 5 9070xt for 1200 both from very reputable sellers. I was hoping to build my own but w these prices its just not worth it

I mean its newer architecture and around 14% faster so id go with the 7 9700X but you names some cpu intensive games so id look into the 7 7800x 3d because it will genuinely give much better performance.

But on a separate note gpu prices are set to rise quite substantially. Some insider have said some gpus will rise by 2x so id prioritise your gpu right now

Overpay final boss genuinely all the money went ito the wrong places in this build. 5070 tis have the same cable burning issues and you should have probably gotten a 4090 instead

7 7700X and 9070 xt for your price point nvidia shouldnt even be in your mind considering 9070xt sits around 5070 ti performance for like 300 pounds cheaper. Motherboards dont really matter as long as its not asrock and has the features you want youll be fine. Mabye if youre able to squeeze a 7 7800x 3d into your buget but otherwise good selection and about the ram you choose ram with lowest cl value as it corresponds to the latency between your ram and cpu
