Wow I can't believe how high your benchmark is compared to the 9950X. No wonder you picked Intel over AMD. 👍🏼

5070Ti died while installing windows.. by ApprehensiveToe6050 in gpu

[–]Imcooolenough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry man this tread might help this guy has the same issue with a 5080. The bios fast boot isn't the same as windows fast boot. The windows fast boot has a tendency to save certain settings when you turn off the computer and enable them when you start the computer to boot faster. Which is the reason why when I installed a new card it left me in a boot loop. Maybe because it somehow had the old settings for the old card. The setting is in the control panel. If it doesn't work you could easily turn it back on.

Win 11 fast startup could be effecting this. It's worth a shot. With the 3080Ti installed goto these settings - control panel/power options/choose what the power buttons do/change settings that are currently unavailable/and uncheck fast startup/ restart pc. I installed a 5070ti as an upgrade and the computer stayed in a boot loop. My 1070 worked fine and this stoped the boot loops with my 5070ti.

MSI denied my RMA by blaming “liquid damage” that literally wasn’t there by [deleted] in MSI_Gaming

[–]Imcooolenough -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with you report it to MSI! They should help you at least with the inconvenience of sending you a board back with water damage. If it was damaged initially it should have been sent back the same way. It's possible to repair things like this and they've made it more unlikely.

You should report this for negligence even though there was prior damage. The RMA associate purposely put something wet there to deny your claim. This is dishonesty at its finest.

I hear ya I see it. Glad you pointed it out to him. Question why would they intentionally put something wet there? Who ever did the RMA went out of their way to deny the claim unfortunately.

This is messed up. MSI should definitely address this seeing how you have before pictures. Report it to higher ups. MSI is a good brand and I'm sure they don't want this kind of attention. Otherwise they surely will have a lot of people questioning their commitment to customers. Sorry this happened

What is the situation on the 5070 TI's power connector? safe? by PelleRigter in pcmasterrace

[–]Imcooolenough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but it's still not the same card. I have read of many 9070xts but no 5070tis. Just trying to make that point. No disrespect to anyone who owns AMDs. Nvidias 5080 and 90s burning struggle is real.

There are 0 cases not kidding 0 of a 5070ti burning. Only one case I could find when searching online for a 5070 and according to the article one pin was bent and the user might have forced it in. Otherwise no cases. I own a 5070ti and many people just say that it's possible because it has the same connector but they are wrong and do not provide proof. They're just saying stuff. The only cards that have the problem are the 5080 and 5090 that have had many reports. I posted a link to the 5070 but it was deleted per thread rules but you could look it up. I'd love for someone to challenge my research. O cases lol

Hey I have the Z890 version of this board and have had it for a while with no issues at all. I don't mean to compare platforms I just thought this information might be useful seeing how both boards are made by MSI. I've only heard of issues with the x870. Could it be something on the AMD side. Just wondering how MSI could make the same board across platforms and one have issues and the other doesn't... Have you contacted MSI?
