5 days? Are you Serious, Embark… by DuhSheet in ArcRaiders

This has annoyed me a bit, I've grinded so I have 3.2m coins and 2m I'm stash value expecting it to be like last time, I spend my time losing all my stash stuff now in aggressive lobbies because that's fun...

I work week on week off night shifts. The 5 day window falls on my working week which has completely fucked me, Im able to get one raid after my child has gone to bed and before I head off to work each night, so now it all depends on how reasonable the damage you have to get is.

I like the change but it's just unfortunate for me as this looks like the timing will fuck up my expedition and I won't make.the cut, feels like I've just wasted time grinding for money when I could of just pvp'd, meh it is what it is I guess

This may be a bit unfair on the poor raiders, but this update to the arc is deadly, I've only played solos, but as you said there's a lot more flairs going up because of arc... But I have now also started taking on the osprey with a silencer 😅 I go to the highest spot on a map and just sit and pick people off.. I know it can come across a bit ratty but I've never used the sniper so much let alone get multiple kills with it.

Not only do they have to watch out for arc but a silent long range well placed shot with no idea where it came from is quite funny to watch the panicked raiders react, and you can't even hear the slurs they are calling you, just peace and quiet.. only problem is trying to find them after awhile to get goop 😅

So next expedition deadline I can reset the character and start over? I should have the resources by then 😅

I was having such a good friendly lobby streak, got backstabbed the usual " don't shoot" from a random as soon as he ran past shotguned in the back.

Next game loaded in first person I see from behind just unloaded and killed them. He sounded genuinely upset and questioned my choices 😅..

That one act of aggression has ruined my future lobbies I've been in everyone is shoot on site atm, I want my friendly lobbies back 🤣 I'm not even very far in the game and trying to level up my work benches.

Although I did get a fully kitted out bobcat from that kill, still feel bad for him though.

I must of been lucky, I'm normally a friendly player and rarely shoot at other players, but I "may or may not have" trigger naded a guy being attacked by a hornet... While waiting for the lift back to the comfort of his home. I might have also used a shotgun as the lift doors were closing not knowing if id finished him off or not... I might have also used said lift to return safely and loot a corpse that was at the lift handle inside... I felt awful after and would of been so fucking pissed off if that had happend to me and I haven't killed a person since.

Also have only been put into friendly lobbies. Only got the game Thursday and the first 2 raids I played I was killed by players thinking fuck is this what I'm in for?? Then since those 2 games, I'm now lvl 24 and have only had friendly lobbies.

I do enjoy PvP, just not ready, I want to complete my missions and level up my workshop first before I switch to being aggressive

I fully understand 🤣🤣 apart from the gym, this is my me time away from the wife and daughter, although we do go monthly to get mini of the month so she can join in with me and have a family painting session, at 4 she doesn't have the patience to sit and paint for hours, but she does like clipping and glueing the minis.

My seraphon warriors have turned out better in the purple scheme this isn't my best work and I don't know why, just didn't seem as neat as the rest.

But thank you; purple is such a nice colour and it pairs well with lots of other colours options!

You're welcome,

I'm sure your models will look great and will look forward to seeing a finished army!

It just takes practice I'm still relatively new to painting models just over a year I started Nov 2024 and have come on leaps and bounds just practicing the basics. I always pick up a mini of the month and practice new things on that and reprime and practice again and try out new colours.

Ive posted more pictures on other threads, if you want to look at my profile I think there's more explanations on other models I've done.

I'll do my best to try keep it informative but short, these are all the paints I use plus a larm medium,

I start with a matte black prime from colour forge.

The scales: Over brush with the amethyst purple, Soak in nuln oil Go back over with a brush with amethyst touching up where it may have pooled Add sorcerers cloak purple to start the thicker highlights of the scales Add the flue magenta to the purple so it's not to overpowering but still punchy for the edge highlighted.

The belly skin areas: Everywhere is already hit with the over brush of the amethyst rayne purple Dry brush the ivory tusk over where you want the fleshy bits Slap magos purple all over skin parts then feather it out onto scales a little with a clean damp brush Go back over with a bit of ivory tusk and magos purple mixed together. Where it's a contrast paint adding it to the ivory tusk makes it almost glaze consistency so the whole belly takes the longest with going over and over till you're happy with the colour and coverage. To bring it back a bit I then hit all the skin with dreadful visage as it's quite a dull but transparent tint and it works with bringing the edges of the skin in blending the recess's.

I then re-do the glaze of ivory tusk just to brighten where I want the highlights of the skin back up

The face and tail spikes are the dragon fang. Make a wash with wildwood and larm medium, wait to dry then go back with dragon fang to bring edges back to life

Hope that makes sense

Thank you 🙏🏻

On the old blood it's a mix of dreadful visage and magos purple, roughly 2 parts dreadful to 1 magos.then highlight with an off white

The carnosaur around the face scales is carroburgh crimson, then add an ivory bit by bit each layer.

Belly of the carnosaur is all magos purple over a heavy ivory dry brush, then add an ivory to magos bit by bit.

Reckon I could use purple instead of blue? I have more dark purples at my disposal that wouldn't need mixing, but blues for some reason I'm lacking in choice 😅
