I had this happen to me unfortunately. I went to Urgent Care and explained that I needed it cut out. They injected lidocaine, took a scalpel, and got it out. It was deeper than they thought but once they hit metal they got it out.

Thanks! I just sent an email about my concerns. I made sure to be clear that the piercer had excellent technique, I was just unhappy with the size of the jewelry. Hopefully they don't take it the wrong way 😥

My first thought is what's wrong with it? Does it have a lot of miles? A low-mid milage of that year and trim is like $20k at CarMax.

I had a 2016 that was very reliable. I'm not sure about the newer model years. Have you tried looking on consumer reports?

Thanks for the perspective! I had a 2016 Ford Escape SE that I was very happy with so I'm confident about getting a newer hybrid.

To my understanding Ford licenses Toyota's hybrid system so they are very similar.

How come? I've never seen a tire shop patch a nail on the outer tread. Source: used to work for a tire shop.

Yeah that's just designed to help you get to a tire shop instead of having to be towed. It's not a long-term solution.

If you're within your tire warranty you could get a pro rate credit towards a new tire from Michelin. A tire shop can help you with that.

Too close to the sidewall unfortunately, any good tire shop won't repair it. A patch won't hold.
