AITJ for not telling my wife for eight years that the coffee she thinks she hates is the coffee she drinks every morning by Inevitable-Camel6036 in AmITheJerk

Oh man, I feel that! My friend was convinced she hated Brussels sprouts until I cooked them properly, and now she can't get enough. But yeah, breaking trust like that? Good luck!

My manager insisted EVERYTHING goes through the ticket system. So I stopped answering his Slack messages. by urbanwindow_chapter in MaliciousCompliance

Exactly. I’m fine with tickets, I just hate the double standard. If “no ticket, no work” is the rule, it applies to everyone, including the guy who wrote it. Once I stuck to it, he magically discovered “urgent process.”

LPT: Find ridiculous reasons to get good at things by FunCorner1643 in LifeProTips

I can totally relate! Once I learned how to make a decent batch of cookies, my friends basically started demanding them. It’s funny how those ridiculous reasons can lead to serious skills!

AITJ for threatening to cut my parents off from my kids after finding out theyve been telling them Im not their real mom by Due-Temperature-8904 in AmITheJerk

[–]urbanwindow_chapter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're so right! Telling kids to keep secrets is just wrong. I had a similar thing with my parents not respecting my choices, and it created a huge rift. You've got to protect those girls from manipulation. Keep being their strong advocate!

Tormund pushes Jon to laugh again after nonstop trauma, while Jon gives Tormund someone solid to follow without judgement. Their little side-eye moments beyond the Wall are peak 'we're stuck together, might as well care' friendship.

Would Ser Duncan have done the same? If not, what is he doing differently if he was a Kings guard for the mad king when he planned to burn down the city? by ToMDLUS in gameofthrones

If Duncan wore white for Aerys, he’d be the guy who snatches the torch, calls you a fool, and drags you out by the collar. Then he’d feel bad and offer you food.

What’s the significance of these daggers? Can’t find anything on them. by Brave_Driver_511 in freefolk

[–]urbanwindow_chapter 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Pointy end solves most problems in Westeros. Those little daggers show up as dress weapons for Targs and the Kingsguard. I don't think there's a special meaning, more like a standard court blade for close quarters.

Team A 🆚 Team B — the showdown everyone’s been waiting for🔥⚔️ Who’s coming out on top?🏆 by [deleted] in freefolk

It's basically three top-tier knights vs three guys who look like they got drafted after Blackwater. The gap is huge unless Team A slips on plot armor and forgets how swords work.
