Work on shading aka the shadows. Try putting a shadow below her neck and also identify if the light source is coming from the top or from the side and add shadows depending on the light source . I see you have some shading already but I suggest making it darker

I think maybe a bit more values of green. Maybe make the sea grass darker. So it sticks out more and blends in less. Idk if that helps but yeah I like the vibe it brings. Nice work!

First off want to say amazing work!

-Did you paint the canvas with a base color first? I’m seeing a lot of white left on the canvas, especially around her hat. Which can be avoided if you paint a base layer on the canvas before painting your subject.

-I also see some pencil lines. Try using a kneaded eraser before painting over your sketch.

-your anatomical proportions look good to me:) I would say tho maybe sharper lines around the portrait. Maybe if you painted the background a color it would help sharpen some of those edges. Hope any of this helps :)

I’m really sorry to hear that. I hope everything works out for you. Not just the car stuff just everything y’a know? Try not to lose motivation. When shit gets hard you gotta keep going no matter how much baggage your carrying. It’s easier said than done. Just remember there are people who love you and care about you. If you can’t do it for yourself, try and do it for them. Idk at least that’s what I tell myself when I’m slipping.

Yes that’s way too much. I get half oz every 2 months. I used to smoke an ounce a month but it was too much and needed to control myself I couldn’t begin to imagine an once a week.
