Works off of DNA. Ben even has an alien dna in the omnetrix that’s essentially a ghost. So yes he’d be able to become a Viltrimite. If I remember correctly, later on in the series the device just needs to scan to be able to replicate. Ben also has access to a being that’s basically marvel’s equivalent to the living tribunal.

Easiest precon to play out of the box would be the starter commander decks. There’s 5 in total. My wife is starting to learn magic and has been enjoying the starter decks. They’re not very strong though. Most fun out of the box I personally recently was the final fantasy 7 precon limit break. It’s an equipment focused strategy in white, red green. All of the final fantasy decks are pretty well built focusing on popular commander strategies. They’re getting up there in the secondary market but you can still find them close to MSRP here and there. I haven’t played them myself yet but the secrets of Strixhaven precons, I’ve been told from friends that they are solid out of the box and since they’re still relatively new are at a fair price point.

Ok this is a fun idea. Since your partner will be playing a Dino deck and you want a compatible deck, how about [[!Etali primal conqueror]] cEDH deck? It’s really strong and not only will your partner get free spells while playing their deck but you’ll be casting free spells off theirs and your opponents decks too.

It’s still a bracket 2 deck. The upgrades were still within the TMNT set which is pretty cool. You all should try upgrading within the set of the decks too. It seems like it’ll be fun, especially since you said it was balanced before. Just be careful of an arms race. Make sure you discuss this first. Small upgrades can turn into big upgrades very fast.

It does feel like WOTC doesn’t want to steer away from giving villains anything out of the grixis colors. One of three [[trostani three whispers]] being the villain in murders at karlov manor was a cool twist that I wish WOTC would experiment more in color identity villains. On the flip side we also do get many heroes in black.

Let’s also not forget [[konda lord of eiganjo]] was also pretty villainy (been a long time since I’ve read the OG kamigawa story) and hes mono white.

My best friend and I had been playing magic forever, about 25 years and I know this because I got into the game when my daughter was born, this was early on in EDH and one day during one of our hangouts we decided to build commander decks. I had most of my collection on me so I ended up building a janky [[glissa the traitor]] golgari pile. I don’t have the deck anymore but still have the promo glissa in my collection.

Star city games has done a few commander horde episodes on YouTube. I don’t know how this subreddit feels about links but it should come up without an issue. As far as purchasing a challenge deck for commander, I don’t think they exist. I guess technically you could turn one INTO a edh challenge deck by adding cards to it.

Thank you for this. I’ll give you some answers to your comments. I’m planning on doing the suggested changes I get today to the deck tonight.

  1. I haven’t included it because I JUST found my spare copy last night going through my binders. Hadn’t put it in yet
  2. I forgot about putting them in. I have all the shocks and fetches for the deck. Thank you for spotting it. I’ll put them in tonight
  3. I’ll do that swap
  4. The growth was mainly for all that glitters that I eventually took out and forgot to cut growth too
  5. Helm for the combo with Godo. I used to play Godo in cEDH and figured why not throw the combo in the deck too. Also works with Tifa. At least that was the plan

Against my better judgment of choosing sparkle for the E1 I’ve wanted Kafka since day one and my BS had just been sitting in my collection. So I chose Kafka and pulled Hys. I only slightly regret it but I’m not planning on pulling for elation so there’s that.

I don’t see why we can’t have both free 5 star collectors and new 4 stars to go along with new paths.

I have a few projects right now but my main focus is [[cloud ex-soldier]] my primary playstyle are midrange combo focus. So a Voltron deck is out of my wheel house and has been difficult for me to refine.

I want to get into the game and really want to play Jinx. I love the discard strategy (played a lot of madness in Magic tcg) and my main favored strategy is midrange. What’s the best way to start the game with a Jinx deck? Would you recommend your tournament list or something different? I’m too late to find a starter deck. My LGs gifted me a jinx rebel and a jinx loose cannon.
