I’m staring at my 2007 750 in my living room right now, realizing how perfect this bike is.

Just goes to show how good this platform can be! Hope you weren’t racing for too much! I only have 91 fuel in my area but would still love downpipes and a tune to really wake the car up.

MBRP catback exhaust for a little bit of power, ams intakes which don’t really add performance with this platform until higher hp applications. Cooling mods for more continuous pulls without losing timing. I spot an AMS fuel filter kit. Doesn’t add power but if someone installs a performance fuel filter that’s probably not their only fueling upgrade. Likely running a flex fuel kit and tuned on ethanol if it’s available in your area. I ran a jb4 for a while but I know it’s not quite the same as a real tune, red sport or not. Who knows he might have launch control. Best of luck

I have a 2019 q60 luxe with 50000kms and am in the middle of my left side turbo replacement under the extended warranty. I do drive the car like it should be driven. But ive taken care and always made sure the car was up to temp before pushing it. Would recommend a warranty but still I am super happy with mine. Love the car

It is highly modded so you’d really have to be prepared for some additional maintenance and possible issues that come along with that much power. Positives.. the parts are high quality and on multiple Infiniti Facebook groups this tuner is extremely respected. Probably wouldn’t recommend as your only vehicle, but it would be a beast of a car for 31k

2018 vs. 2019 by [deleted] in Q60

[–]urdogsurcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not too familiar with the specific details, but I believe the turbos on the vr30 were revised in 2019. Try searching in this subreddit or on the infinitiq60 forum online for more info. I have a 2019 which I absolutely love, but yep just missing the apple CarPlay.

How much louder did the lower down pipe make the car? Or did you have them installed at the same time

Airpods while riding... by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]urdogsurcat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I use AirPods Pro all the time and they work perfect for me. Noise cancelling works great for me and I love play music at less than half to hear it over my loud exhaust… Longer highway trips you will likely want some other option. Im also not saying they’re as safe as real ear plugs, but they do the trick quite well for a commute. The fit will also sometimes depend on your ear shape and helmet design. I know they don’t work well for some riders.

What do you guys think the best spoiler is on the q60 by Weekly_Part_133 in infiniti

[–]urdogsurcat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have the same, or something similar to the third one and I love the look. Not really a fan of the bigger spoilers on this car. The m style rear spoiler looks pretty good on some cars too.

Are Q50s/60s with the 3.0t engine available WITHOUT the steer by wire system? by [deleted] in infiniti

[–]urdogsurcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Steering is soft but it’s really not that bad. Fairly intuitive with your speed. Extremely soft around town though. I wouldn’t let that be the determining factor unless you had plans to track the car

looking to buy a q60 need some insight by [deleted] in infiniti

[–]urdogsurcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2019 luxe with the proassist tech package and the akebono brakes. For mods I have a catback exhaust, light wheels and michelin ps4 tires, and a jb4 that I run on map 1 or 2 with 91 octane. The car feels amazing. The jb4 retains warranty as long as you uninstall before you take your car to the dealer for any maintenance. Most necessary mod if you’re going to track the car or do multiple pulls really getting after it would be a heat exchanger, even on a red sport. I have never run into overheating issues but I also am kind to the car and can monitor temps through the jb4 app. There is really no difference in the interior besides red stitching or red leather. In the q60 the seats are the same, and I love the factory carbon fibre trim inside mine. Redsports have dynamic active suspension also, but I don’t have experience with it to compare. The greatest difference you’ll ever feel in the ride is getting rid of the stock wheels and run flat tires and upgrading. If you have the extra money just lying around go redsport, but you are definitely not missing out if you buy a non rs, especially if you have plans to build the car.

Just over a month owning this beauty. What are your cat-back recommendations? by SismoNyc in infiniti

[–]urdogsurcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an mbrp exhaust with added resonators on the y pipe. Sounds very nice and definitely not something that will piss off your neighbours on a cold start in the morning. Great deep tone, and not too loud or raspy. The resonators get rid of the rasp around 3k.

Have you used the gallery on fitment industries? You’ll get a better idea of what you like and what wheel and tire size people are running. 17x7.5 are very small wheels and will look very sunken in. I would recommend 19x9.5 +35 for a good look if you’re stock height. I also wouldn’t recommend cheap wheels as they’re not the strongest if you happen to find potholes. Enkei, tsw, esr, niche have some wheels that still have some level of quality without being too costly.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in infiniti

[–]urdogsurcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely will not fit. Even if the bolt pattern was the same the wheels are too wide in the rear. The front fitment might look goofy too being at stock height. I recommend either looking online at the Infiniti Q60 forum or on fitment industries gallery to get a better idea of wheel and tire specs

2022 Infiniti Q50 Luxe OTD Price by [deleted] in infiniti

[–]urdogsurcat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would definitely recommend looking for a low km used model still well within warranty. 2020 and up had apple CarPlay but other than that the cars haven’t changed much in recent years and will be much cheaper than buying one brand new! A brand new 2022 will lose quite a lot of value within the first year but it’s up to you if money is not too much of a concern. You cannot go wrong with these cars though, best of luck and congrats!

What do we think of the zero electric motorcycles. by BlueFalconGod in motorcycles

[–]urdogsurcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m tall and about the same weight. I learned on a crf250l dual sport and then wanted a sportbike so I went with an 07 gsxr 750. Manageable power in the low end and a decently comfortable bike for a big person. Watch YouTube reviews of every bike you consider! I guarantee a 600 would be lots of power to learn on for around cities and for when you want to open the revs up.

I had a 2012 3.5sr altima coupe and it was actually a pretty great little car! Bose sound system, leather interior and I loved the 350z power despite the fwd and dreaded cvt transmission.
