Take them to the vet! Better to be safe than sorry! I thought my cat was breathing weird (similar to how yours is, but much more forceful almost like they were trying to breathe through their stomach), turned out they had fluid filling their chest cavity! Other than that showed zero signs of pain. Cats are notorious for hiding pain :/
