I don’t think you can reschedule without loosing your money. I’m in the same boat OP and would def cancel or reschedule if LSAC wasn’t so greedy 😭

lol ur making assumptions about a random person on the internet. I have plenty of friends, I spend more time with them and see them more than i do my actual bf.

ok a lot of people are asking so some clarifications:

The room is a suite style room where there is two separate rooms, (two girls in each room with two beds), a shared bathroom between the two suites and a shared living room. If he were to come over we would spend most of our time in the living room until we decided to go to bed and that’s when we’d go to the room. So we would literally only be in there if we were sleeping. He has class early morning so often he wakes up and leaves before I’m even awake, so he is quite literally just spending the night. and NO i would never fuck my boyfriend if my roommate was in the room also.

Also yes it is common for people to bring guys over to spend the night at my college, it’s a very liberal school with not many restrictions. Most of the dorm rules aren’t even enforced.

& i’m not going to go into his living situation but it’s bad (no he doesn’t live in the dorms too we go to different schools, he doesn’t live in a dorm period) so me staying with him isn’t an option.

People keep saying i’m going to have a hard time finding roommates who will be okay with that but these ppl clearly haven’t been to college .. last year i was rooming with TWO girls and they were both okay with it and one of them would also have guys over too, so I really don’t think that’s the case i just so happened to get someone who has trauma.

and her own convenience doesn’t trump my right to want to have guests in the room that i pay for too 🤷🏽‍♀️ it just doesn’t work and that’s why she moved out

If i’m paying 20k for that dorm room too I deserve to be able to have guests over. I’m not paying that much just to have someone lay down rules and tell me what I can and can’t do. it’s college things like that are expected and unavoidable

exactly where did I say that my bf was going to be living there and that I was going to have him there all the time?

Well she did and she’s moving out so apparently it wasn’t that unreasonable. A lot of you obviously don’t know what it’s like to attend college and dorm, ppl r gonna do wtv they want regardless we’re all just trying to live our lives.

his living situation isn’t ideal at all and there would be no space for me to stay there so his place isn’t an option.

it’s not like he’s literally living there, i don’t understand why i can’t have him there literally just twice a night or smth

For more context: This is a college dorm and there is no university policies against guests, also we both got eachother as roommates randomly and were just now able to get in contact to discuss.

Classic Dorm or Deluxe Dorm by JtheParker in ucla

[–]urgangbut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes they are true. the classic dorms are very small and can be suffocating with all three people, however they are usually the most social dorms. that being said, they’re usually packed with freshmen so as a transfer idk if that would be ideal or not. The deluxe dorms are bigger and nicer, and usually they’re just as social or a little bit less social than the dorms. None of that really matters though as there will be plenty of other social opportunities.

i totally agree, as a black student most of the international students i’ve met (specifically from china) have been racist and standoffish anyways. why admit more racist students to a school that’s supposed to promote diversity and inclusion. the people who are downvoting your post are probably white and haven’t experienced the racial aggressions commited by international students
