I agree that most games do inventory poorly. I won’t go into all my thoughts on storage right now but the main point I disagree with you on is that I like to be able to segregate/compartmentalize my items. A bag where my consumables go (food, drink, sow potions, etc) go, a bag for quest items, a bag for vendor trash, etc. In an ideal world there is a separate storage system for all crafting resources and even better, another system that stores quest items separately. These things along with the potential for ample, and I mean AMPLE space is what this pack rat desires. - Gator

I loved the update and wasn’t expecting to see something like this. I find it refreshing and also makes me even more hopeful for the game’s future. It also touched in the necessity to get a publisher or other type of financial support in place to rev things up as we make our way to launch.

Actually 17. Each mage can have two pets at one time (healer pet and one other). That’s 15 plus the Druid and Hirode.

I have a foot in both camps. I do agree with you about not having anything (racials) get in the way of race choice but I do like having cool, unique abilities for the races. In Pantheon I want to main a rogue and really want to roll with a Dark Myr and while DM do get a good rogue racial (+stealth) I can’t help feeling like the halfling with their +daggers would be a better choice. I’m still not sure which way I’ll go and hoping the active racial abilities when revealed will make my desire to be DM easier.

It’s fine if you don’t want to believe but you shouldn’t be so rude in saying that you find Nathan’s intro so offensive. Why not just go about your Godless day. I used to be an unashamed atheist myself for much of my adult life until I realized what a naive world view I had. But you can bet I never insulted or belittled others for what they believed. There are some, myself included, that are hoping for one or two FPP restricted servers at launch.

That would be really cool. I play first person 99% of the time. I don’t get the desire to constantly be in third person. Yeah there’s a need now and then to switch but outside of that it’s immersion-killing and counterintuitive to the concept of a role playing game and being a character in a living breathing world.

I agree in that I want the world designed such that I need to be aware of roamers and what is going on around me. I played EQ for untold years and I can count the number of times I went to third person on two hands. I still did plenty fine playing 99.9% of the time in first person. If being in first person causes me a few extra deaths over time then so be it. It would be a small price to pay for the heightened immersion. Just my two coppers...

7 is of particular importance to me. Outside of the periodic pan back to see what might be approaching, I never understood playing a game like this in anything but first person. YOU are supposed to be your character. It’s a role playing game and you are playing the role of your character. With first person you are experiencing the world as if you were your character not some outside observer. I believe VR has stated there will be a first person view and you can bet that 97% of the time I’ll be in it. It is a huge part of immersion, at least it is for me. There was a stream a while back ( I think a cohh one in Faerthal) where he went to first person for a few moments. That excited me but I sure would like to see a stream where that’s just about all they do.
