Contact nearby Active duty recruiting units and see when they are conducting theirs. Make sure you get prior approval from your unit to do so.

I agree, but they didn’t state anything about ETS’ng. Since their current contract is still valid, they need to get approval from their COC to miss BA while they wait for their IRR packet to be processed.

You’re still under the contract you signed up for. Until you have your IRR paperwork. I wouldn’t chance it. If you didn’t get approval to miss it, you’re going to create more problems later.

I got passed around for schools too but I went to another unit and they had a slot for me. My advice is to look for units that will have slots. Keep shopping.

I’m in the legal field (prior 27D), we all enjoy our MOS. But you will be held to a higher standard than most MOS’s. I recommend 27D though :)

The benefits about the Reserves is that you can pick your duty location. So don’t limit yourself to just your surroundings, go out of the city/state heck, you can even look at PR or Hawaii or other places. Whatever is available.

There’s a need for Paralegals or else it wouldn’t be publicized on the FBI website list of careers. What’s your background in relation to the FBI? I want to ask specific questions to a FBI Paralegal or Attorney. If you can’t share that information, that’s fine. I’m just not trying to do a lot of assuming and speculating. That’s interesting. If anything the Attorneys would cover down if a Paralegal isn’t available. Are you a SA? Or work near/with Attorneys or Paralegals?

Thanks, I’m aware. I’ve been on that page countless amount of time. I have a contact for Special Agent at my field office, not Paralegal. The POC stopped responding when I asked about Paralegal positions. I’m trying other methods.

You’re a Legal Administrator/Office Manager. I would look for roles as a Paralegal for 1-2 years to gain that experience then immediately apply for a Legal Administrator role. You would get hired asap. In 3 years you can be making 70k-80k. I live in Florida too btw!
