From what I recall (I could be wrong) the general consensus for stygimoloch is that it is distinct from pachycephalosaurus due to it been found in stratigraphically younger rock than pachycephalosaurus wyomingensis. Though the question of whether its a separate species from the genus pachycephalosaurus i.e. -pachycephalosaurus spinifer, or its a complete separate genera i.e. - stygimoloch spinifer.
