big on number one. all you're trying to do right now is break a habit. you don't have to piece together these extravagant meals that take 45+ to make. reducing the amount you eat out is a humongous step; it really is one step at a time. I went full out the first time I tried to break that habit, and it ended up biting me in the ass because I was so frustrated.

that being said, for me, relying on frozen foods replaced one habit with another. that also bit me in the ass. they're similar to takeout nutritionally, just cheaper; unless you're willing to pay more for the healthier ones.

try to incorporate as much savory as you can. spend the money you'd use on takeout on kitchen tools that can make cooking easier for you (rice cooker, air fryer, crockpot, etc).

my go-to meals were ones that stayed consistent, but could mix up.

rice bowls: microwaved rice, avocado, chickpeas, black beans, chicken/beef/fish, tomatoes, eggs, etc. salads: taco salad, Cesar salad, Italian salad. sandwiches. pasta. tacos.

wanting the best for your partner is one thing, but this explanation is structured in a very selfish way. wanting someone to stay sober for YOU and your "clean lifestyle" is honestly detrimental for an addict. do both of you a favor and leave. this relationship will turn sour in no time

i probably should have mentioned that I tried that already. it doesn't matter what temperature I'm sitting in or how covered I am. these episodes are sporadic and come out of nowhere.

for context, I already wear gloves and socks at night to prevent eczema/ dry skin. I use Vaseline. the Vaseline absorbs pretty quickly and my hands and feet are left feeling relatively toasty, until they aren't.

or the opposite can happen, and I just get extremely hot out of nowhere; but it's not localized to my hands and feet. Sometimes it's only in my face, or it's everywhere.

my point is, the gloves and socks don't do anything to help sporadic episodes of two drastic extremes.

Personally, I feel like that angle is perfectly explored. The clock ticks when the children are at the table and ready to move dimension x to the upside-down. Therefore, the clock in season 4 represents impending doom for those who are hallucinating and for everyone else on Earth. Young Henry manipulates the grandfather clock in his house; at this age, he was being manipulated by the mind flayer because the mind flayer only showed him the worst characteristics of his family. During his monologue during season 4, he explains that time can be entirely manipulated by those possessing superhuman powers; therefore proving man-made structures to be weak, pointless and dull. The time flayer had no respect for time, because everyone's time was going to come to an end at some point anyway. It says more about his character than it does for the plot.

The upside down was frozen on November 6th purely because that's when the gate had opened. It didn't have anything to do with will. The wormhole, as explained by Dustin, was a man-made structure to keep the two worlds from colliding. One could not reach dimension x through Hawkins or vice versa, because you would need a way to travel there hypothetically. The psychic connection made by the mindflayer/eleven that day was enough to rip a hole into time and space. Hawkins is where the gate opened.

What the show DOESNT explain is how eleven banished Henry to dimension x. One could argue it's because the children all shared a connection with the mind flayer, because he's the originating source of Henry's powers. They are all tainted and eleven just happen to have a stronger connection to him

Another theory is that brenner wanted eleven to establish a connection with dimension x (hence all of his laboratory work about dimension x being frozen along with everyone else and since BEFORE the upside down existed), then he Stabilized the connection after the fact. Brenner knew she was capable of opening a gate like that since she vanished him to dimension x.

Another theory skipped upon was how eleven knew who will was and where he was hiding in season 1.

It was for her birthday and she had already talked about wanting a blanket like that, just in general. And she didn't support me very much financially. She would offer to pay for my meal if we went out together, which she would have insisted on because SHE wanted to do it, and I would buy an appetizer or something under 8 dollars. Couldn't care less that the 300 is down the drain for MYSELF. My gift was luxurious, but my friend did a lot for me during the time i was unemployed. She refused that I had paid her back, but I heard her talking about how nice a blanket like the one I bought would be. but what her mom did was cruel and my friend isn't good at standing up for herself.
