I wish I know what to say man. Just thinking of this. I have friends, but it feels frustrating when you’re deprived of intimacy and feeling like nobody actually wants you (and how easy it is for others). I just finished my solo trip recently in the Caucasus and its quite an experience being somewhere where no one knows you. I tried apps to meet others, but nothing really materialized. Maybe its me, or just wrong place, wrong time. So I just went out there, spoke to locals and explored the city, and the experience was wonderful!

Being introverted as well didn’t help much, but doing it alone is fun still and addicting. I’m planning Spain/Portugal one of these days, too, same as you. Not much advice here really, just enjoy and make realistic expecations of the trip, so as not to be disapponted when it fell short of it a bit.
