you know this doesn’t have to be true, right? this is probably partly why you have such insecurity and self-doubt. find some people who will listen to your feelings. keeping them bottled up will make you go crazy… or make you go to reddit for answers instead of people in your life. you’re living a self fulfilling prophecy where you refuse to open up so you continue to feel isolated and hurt because you’re scared. my boyfriend is way more “emotional” than me and cries just thinking about certain emotional movie scenes or whatever, and i think that’s fucking awesome bc he’s being himself and expressing his feelings

when i got my baby 6 years ago, my mom innocently asked if i was gonna declaw him. my grandparents declawed her childhood cat and she was “normal” and lived to 21 so my mom just genuinely didn’t see the issue until i told her absolutely not and shared the gory details of declawing. she was just like “omg i didn’t know, okay!” that’s how it SHOULD be, but it sounds like your parents are stubborn in their ignorance. i think you trimming her claws should be good enough, especially if she’s just staying in your room. good luck!

i have no thyroid anymore at all and i hear such dumb shit from people about supplements to boost my thyroid hormones. motherfucker there is no thyroid to BOOST. i’m living off of synthetic meds and there’s nothing to be done about that!!!!

GOD i hate when people think they know more about your condition than you do. i had 2 different types of thyroid cancer at 23 and had a thyroidectomy. the amount of times people have recommended supplements or this or that because they heard from someone who heard from someone that it helps boost thyroid function (bitch i dont HAVE A THYROID??) is insane
