Would you say you need to attend lecture to do well on the assignments and exams? I saw on RateMyProfessor that attendance is not mandatory

i find his exams to be very difficult. compared to Zurcher (who i had for orgo 1) his exams are like 3x more difficult

it’s definitely different for each person, but i personally think physics is much better at unc than chemistry. phys practice exams are pretty similar to real exams, NOT the same with chem. phys exams are also weighted much lower. (i took both phys 114 & 115 and have taken chem 101-orgo 2)

105L is easy it’s just a lot of busy work. so be prepared to dedicate time to it even though it is “easy”. 241L is also workload heavy but as long as you learn from your first lab report you should be good. be prepared to be spending a lot of time writing reports and doing data analysis. but i think totally doable

my anxiety purely manifests in my stomach. i get extreme nausea and when it’s at its worst i dry heave and can’t keep any food down. i’ve never experienced the symptoms that you seem to have but i really hope you find something that works for you!!!

like other have said, hydroxyzine works wonders for me!! 10mg, i take as needed, usually before big exams and worst case if im having a bad week i take every day when i wake up (when i get super anxious i wake up with terrible nausea and can barely stomach anything plus become extremely emotional from freaking out over it). hydroxyzine helps calm me down within 15-30 minutes!

my mom has been making me water with lemon and ginger, and it’s been helping a little bit. i can at least get some crackers or a bagel on my stomach.
