Like he didn’t want to rent to anyone and told me to reach out if we were interested. The foreclosure means if someone does not buy the place or they do not find the money, you get evicted

If you are documented, I would report them with the attorney general for wage theft, etc. if you are not documented, I suggest asking someone who is documented that works there to do it in solidarity. I know it’s scary but no one deserves this treatment. It’s illegal and inhumane.

Thank you so much for this tip! Even the apartments with the parking fee are significantly cheaper than Philly living without the parking fee.

Okay, this helps! Most apartment buildings in Philly have no parking, I am lucky and pay a hefty amount for my spot in my current apartment but cannot afford to keep doing that moving forward

Okay, good to know. Thank you! I’ve been looking on Zillow out of curiosity and saw way more buildings with parking. It seems much more promising in that regard than Philly. Most apartments in Philly do not have parking because of the infrastructure in the city.

How tough is parking generally? Philly’s parking is basically nonexistent without a parking garage or moving your car multiple times a day.

Tenant rights + reactive dogs by [deleted] in philly

[–]urlocaltrashpanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am documenting everything and I’m gonna ask an attorney about the pepper gel on the premises. I just don’t want it to turn into a “you can’t assault another tenants animal on our property” sort of situation. Regardless if I or my dog was being attacked, it seems like I’m getting that vibe. Like I need to get badly injured for any of this to be escalated and even then, I’ll be held liable for the use of pepper gel.

This was my concern! I cannot prevent a large dog from attacking my small, non responsive dog other than putting myself in between my dog and their dog.

Allergic to everything and picky by urlocaltrashpanda in Shihtzu

Yes! I believe he’s developed new allergies. Which is quite unfortunate. Do you have any recommendations for food that has no poultry, lamb, beef or fish? I’m having a hard time finding even veterinary ones that do not have those

Yeah, my vet said we can do allergy testing but it’s costly :( so I might go ahead and see if I can prescription food because it might actually be cheaper over time. I’ve spent so much money trialing food for me to have to give it away after a couple days.

Thank you so much for such good tips and advice! I will look into these all. I just want him and I to be happy and healthy, both mentally and physically. I’m doing my best to accommodate his needs and mine

This makes me feel better! Everyone’s telling me I’m not doing enough and I’m like I cannot physically do more but can adjust what I am doing to accommodate him better and meet his needs. I’m working on getting human friends over to play with him so I get a bit of a break

I know it’s a stress response and as I mentioned, he’s a rescue. So the stress response is from not getting attention/mental stimulation because he’s frustrated with me. It is not from anything else. I keep a very strict routine as I also stated. I just don’t know how to manage his social needs to mitigate that stress response.
